Support this project if you are even remotely interested. Devs are active and are committed to a vision. Game has already came a long way.

Interesting game.... i applaud them for doing their own thing but its just not for me. I imagine its one of those games that's just not for everyone. it doesn't hold your hand which is fine with me, but here its done to such a degree that i have no clue what or who i am. why i'm doing what i'm doing.

I didn't give it much of a chance but 25 mins is about all it took for me to figure out that it wasn't for me. I think including the fact that one of the devs worked on skyrim and fallout was a bad idea. I knew going into this that it would be NOTHING like those game but some people might go into it thinking it might be.

Maybe this changes in the later game but the early game... you have no dodge, you cant pull back on your arrows. you just aim and tap ;left click and they fire. doesn't feel good. for a game where your primary and ONLY weapon is a bow... You don't have much control over how you use it.

Mission structure, if you can even call it that seems to boiled down to killing creatures. why? no clue. Maybe its revealed later.

anyways,, that's about all i have to say about this game. i imagine some of you with a lo of patience may end up enjoying it. I like to think i had patience

this can be great. Ton of bugs currently tho, to be expected since it's in EA Invisible zombies, zombies running around on one leg no clipping. which means you cant shoot them or melee them. they just run full speed and attack you. Revive syringes not working when your down, you just die anyway. I feel that the DNA of the original is intact. the beginning is slow and atmospheric, the end is chaotic and adrenaline pumping.

It has a long ways to go but if we stick with it, we will have a great game. Most negative reviews are from people that dislike the new developers. They believe they drove a chivalry 2 content creator to suicide. let that sink in.

Comments enabled btw... come on guys, lemme have it.

This game as is, is worth a playthrough. It's a bit rough around the edges but its good. reminds me of morrowind/oblivion/skyrim ETC. By design, obviously. Keep in mind it's an indie game in EA but dont let that fool you, its a fun game.

Combat has been polished up quite a bit since i last played it. Polished up enough to where it actually feels good and satisfying.

Now imagine this. This indie game has a day and night cycle with named NPCs that actually go about there day and then go to sleep and lock up their shops at night. It's no red dead redemption 2 level of npc schedules but its 100% more than what starfield has. Starfield, the newest "tripple A open world immersive space RPG" by Bethesda has 100% static npcs that just stand in the same spot for eternity while this indie game actually has npcs that that sleep when its time, wake up when its time, open their shops....

I wouldn't doubt it that when this game releases it's 1.0 update that NPC's might have even more detailed schedules. As is, its still more impressive than starfield npcs. Which is insane if you ask me.

It can be a tough game at times, especially if you are going for a rogue build with daggers. Light armor provides very little protection and good light armor is hard to come by. at least in the early game. I often get one shot by almost everything. I switched to a stealth archer build and I'm a bit of a glass cannon now. As long as i remain in the shadows I can take out most targets without being seen with my longbow. When I'm spotted i switch to my shortbow and use dodges to keep distance and fire arrows quickly to bring down targets. I'ts actually quite fun.

Leveling and build design works as you'd expect with this type of game. Skills level up as you use them. Once you receive enough exp to gain a level you get one perk point and one attribute point. You rest at a bonfire (that you can place almost anywhere) to level up. there are many perks to choose from that are all from a designated category that are directly connected to your main attributes, Strength, dexterity, perception, spirituality, and endurance.

TLDR; fun game as is, game has already come a long way. Keep your eye on this game if you are a fan of oldschool Bethesda style RPGs. Ton of potential here. Not perfect by any means, but what game is?

gross monetization. 50-100 $ for characters and skins. Or grind endlessly for the content with the mediocre 3rd person shooter mechanics. Not for me.

good arpg. catastrophic launch. is anyone surprised?

Game is good, especially if you are a hardcore arpg fan. Maybe not as complex as poe or as casual friendly as D4 but it finds itself a nice little spot in the middle, teetering more on the side of complexity. IMO.

game is great for the first 100 hours imo. not really deep enough to hold my attention much after that. may be a future season will add what is needed to deepen the game play but as it is now, it's worth the price. i got my money worth. Most my hours are through bnet if you havent figured that out.

I really enjoy this game and I think it's one of the best MMo's out there. Call me crazy if you want but I really think this game is excellent. Why the negative review you ask? The game is still full of bugs, many of which are game breaking. Server stability is a joke as well. So much to like about this game but you just can't recommend a game that's in such a rough state.

The game hjas been out for what? 2 years or so? how long does it take to get your act together?

i have hundreds of hours into Rust and other PVP focused survival games. I thought a more PVE oriented survival game would be nice to escape the toxicity pvp often brings. Ya know, a nice chill experience. turns out, the "horses" in this game are far more toxic than a player could ever hope to be. Bet your ass there is one around every corner waiting to jump on you and beat your ♥♥♥♥ into the ground. Running is futile, it will chase you to the ends of the map and back again.

Also, far too boring to to waste countless hours getting to a level where you can actually craft a weapon that does damage. the "rpg" system probably sounded good on the drawing board but in practice... doesn't feel right in a game in this genre. Level 200 pigs and horses stampeding you as you walk around is just lame.

buildings have durability which makes sense but as they take damage and fall apart, they don't seem to lose durability. which makes no sense. All in all, wasn't a very pleasant experience, and I would rather go back to getting my base griefed in Rust.
