Jägermeister is a German herb and spice liqueur with a bittersweet taste, containing 38% alcohol. The recipe for obtaining it was developed by Curt Mast in 1934 after years of trials. It is obtained by macerating 56 herbs and spices in spirit, including thyme, chamomile, sandalwood, saffron, ginger, rosemary, blueberry, basil, parsley, cinnamon.
The maceration process, carried out in oak barrels, takes about a year. The macerate is then filtered, diluted with water and alcohol, and seasoned with caramel.

Jegermeister Manifest is the first-ever super-premium grade beverage released from this factory. Manifest differs from the original “Jäger” in several ways - several new herbs and spices have been added to the classic 56 herbs and spices, and the year-and-a-half process of macerating the ingredients in spirit has been extended for an additional 12 months. It is best served heavily chilled, sautéed as an aperitif.
