400 hours in the game total across main and smurf accounts, gaming lounges and local gaming events (tourney and non-tourney). Intermediate Level as well (Emperor to Tekken God Omega level). Played competitively since 2019 and returned to the game in 2021 after I finally got a PC of my own. Characters I play are Lars, Dragunov and Kazumi

This game is not Tekken nor is it even a 3D Fighting game, its a 2.5D game and its barely that. Anyways, lets get to the reasons as to why this game sucks:

- Extreme balancing issues (particularly since Season 3)
- Hoards of incredibly frustrating and noob friendly mechanics (Rage Art, Rage Drive, Power Crush etc.)
- Movement being terrible (already explained above prior to listing my cons with this stupidly retarded ungodly game)
- Not being able to practice against DLC characters in Practice Mode which consequentially brings me to...
- DLC characters being hyper carry machines getting people to the Intermediate ranks with zero effort, knowledge or experience required
- Hitboxes being atrociously large enforcing buttons over movement (counter intuitive to what Tekken has been known for, even those outside of the Tekken sphere)
- Moves with ridiculously disgusting properties (e.g. Paul df2, safe on block, high crush)
*Imagine removing Lars' old T6/TTT2 style df2 (the fcdf2 in Tekken 7 does not count) only to add moves that are even better than Lars' df2 across the board, with even better risk reward ratio in a game where safety is priority
- Ridiculous strings, everything jails
- Every move is literally a homing move
- All the characters have hyper wall-carry when it used to be confined to a few characters (Nina, Bryan, Lars, Lee, Dragunov and Kazumi) to name a few, and wall-carry with damage combined is confined to even fewer characters
- Due to movement being bad and everything being tracking, "big plays"(enforcing 50/50's, mixups, and generally chunky attacks that skips neutral) are enforced rather than intricate mindgames and movement
- Terrible Netcode, "5 bars" is inconsistent and "4 bars" is unplayable
- Panic moves with skewed risk/reward ratio that are also horrendously difficult to punish (e.g. Devil Jin uf4, Lars uf3)
- The oversimplification and overhomogenization of characters due to bad balancing
- Ridiculous favoritism towards certain characters in terms of balacing (e.g. Bryan, Mishimas, Feng, Waifus etc.)

Don't play this game if you're even decent, go play T5,T6, TTT2 or even T7 Vanilla if you want to still play T7
