Honestly it's kinda mid

Take DOOM (1993), but combine it with Half Life and better graphics. That is what DOOM 3 feels like.

The content in the game is good, but I think it's too keen on the "horror" trope of jumpscares appearing every couple of seconds. More on the negative side, it has the indoors environment always looking the same, meaning that you may get lost within the map. DOOM 3 also doesn't have a map feature unlike DOOM (1993) or DOOM II.

In conclusion if you prefer Gameplay > Storytelling go with either DOOM (1993) or DOOM II. If you like Gameplay < Storytelling go with this game as one of the main features is to listen to recordings and look at emails of other people to solve puzzles. Also some of the weapons don't make crunchy sound effects anymore unlike the first two DOOMs and was the reason why DOOM 3 is beta to sigma male DOOM (1993) and DOOM II

If you are playing the DOOM series sequentially, you should start with DOOM 3 as it is mainly a prequel to DOOM (1993) and DOOM II.

Also if you bought the DOOM trilogy alongside DOOM 3: RoE you probably have DOOM 3: BFG Edition. This is the most preferred way of playing DOOM 3 as it removes almost all of DOOM 3's bad game designs. It can also run DOOM (1993), DOOM II and also DOOM 3: RoE. This is the best way to play DOOM 3.

I really like this game because it feels like a mix between a standard four button rhythm game, but also taiko??? Once you know the controls and mechanics you are in the zone. Honestly too good for free just get it bruh.

MMod adds more content to Half Life such as new animations for each weapon with intro animation for each weapon. There is more detail in gore, fire and gun effects. The realism in a GoldSrc game breaks the immersion, but it looks good. For some reason there are more enemies in MMod than regular Half Life with more headcrabs, tripmines and turrets. I haven't played the whole game, but I will say that going through Lambda Complex is hell. I would say to play this game after you beat Half Life because its an updated version. The positives are more than the negatives so positive review, cool nice haha funny. Also you can see your legs and add attachments to your weapons.

This mod is free and is actually good as mod of Half Life

This game is not relevant to the Half Life Lore at all, but it is still a game totally playing.

The custom DLC models are really cool and the use of keycards actually feels like you are breaking out of a place.

This game is what Valve when making HL1 wants it to be.
Strategy, has a story if you look hard enough (it also turns into an ARG,) and the feeling of the unknown.

Bhopping in this game won't get you anywhere because there are enemies everywhere in the prison.
But there are many things you could do to counteract this. This is what I do in most situations.
Shotgun - Close Range
MP5 - Medium Range
Glock - Long Range
Crossbow and Revolver - All Ranges
Grenades and Satchels - Tight Compact Rooms
RPG - Helicopters
Tripmines - Don't use them because it is impractical.
Plunger - Only to kill that one guard in the riot alarm room and for boxes or vents

I wouldn't say that health packs are scarce, but more of shields. The shields are very useful in this game because it prevents you to lose tons of health. You don't lose shields are quickly as health.

In the end I will have to give this a positive review because a robot forcefully made me touch his buttons... for a secret achievement not even required to unlock the bonus content

There is bonus content, although way little and I find that the developer commentary is a bit quiet.

Overall play the game because it is fun.

-The story connects with HL, HL Opposing Force and HL Decay
-No Black-Ops

Cons:
-Nothing New
-Only one G-Man sighting at 3AM
-HD Models
-Shorter Play Time


Overall:
-Pros Win because its just more Half Life with a reasonable story arc unlike Opposing Force. You can't complain because it is more Half Life. There's also no bosses or mini bosses throughout the game.
-If this game is canon than Opposing Force and Decay are also canon

Shock Troopers and Voltigores = Hunters and Striders HL2 Episode 2. Also too much gun and not enough ropes. 4/10, but I do want to kiss Adrian Shepard from the Half Life Opposing Force game.

The whole game is good, Chapter 6 is not. Hunter = Bad, but I can't wait for HALF LIFE 3 AHHAHAHAAHHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAA

This game is fun, but also hard. You need a lot of time playing to get a hold of it, but generally a really fun game with funny secrets and such. I just want 2.2 and its coming yay
