total war isn't for me, its probably good, just not for me.

Genuinely one of the most unique and special games I have ever played. Its difficult and frustrating at times but it exceeds most triple A games from its presentation, style, gameplay etc. Its not for everyone but it certainly isn't just a 6/10 like IGN said.

I remember when this game first came out almost 10 years ago. It was somewhat refreshing as most platformers then didn't really have much to it. And after years of development, I was being less and less impressed with the game. The genre just had higher quality games and RobTop was really only trying to update a formula that only worked well during that time. But I thought I wouldn't do a review as apparently 2.2 was right around the corner, people would complain if I made it negative before a huge update and I would get flamed. So I waited hoping that RobTop finally made the game as good of quality as other platformers. Unfortunately, I don't see GD as a great game, not even a good one. And here are my reasons

The game focuses around your little cube which can transform into different objects to traverse the levels side scroller style. Well if the gameplay sucks, than maybe this game is carried by the music right. Well sort of. Some of the tracks are decent like Jumper and Stereo Madness. But they aren't made my RobTob, in fact out of all of the main levels in this game 1 of them has an original song that RobTob made. I would also say that the music blends together to be edgy dumpstep, especially on harder levels. What sucks the most if that RobTob cannot seem to sync the music with the gameplay almost at all... IN A RHYTHM GAME. Im not joking when I say this, turning off the music has made the game easier for me. Thats not a good look. The menu songs are also just NCS which is just funny to me how a dude that calls his game "Rhythm-based" has to resort too NCS.
Im sort of mixed about the visuals, for the modern level, they are definitely polished with some good attention to detail. But on the other hand, the older levels look like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flash game from 2007. I feel like most of the development time came to develop visuals and animations but I have this growing feeling that if it wasn't the case, this game could have genuinely rivaled other platformers like Celeste or Pizza Tower.
All though it looks like Im going to tear this area up like I did with the rest of the game. But this area genuinely feels good. like the Level Editor is impressive, especially with tons of triggers, animations and especially community creations getting bigger and bigger. It really shows that RobTop is a talented developer and its crazy how complex the system is. But at the same time, should I really same the game is great over a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level editor and the community.

Concluding all my points, I feel that Geometry Dash is an old game that refuses to be put down even though I feel that's the best thing for its community and the Developer. Especially as better platformers and even rythm-games come to rival it, RobTop refuses to let go and has only made me more and more disappointed, I wish RobTop would just move on as I feel his talent is going into something that I feel should just stop suffering and have the plug pulled.

Imagine the movie whale, except the fat dude is an Olympic diver who specialises in hunting fish.

Probably one of the best rhythm games out there simply because it does not relies on edgy dub-step or spam levels. Not to mention how great the music is synced to the actual game-play. Would recommend, just ignore all the workshop stuff, its just edgy spam.

Imagine those stick fight animations you used to watch as a kid. This is basically that but a turn based fighting game with replays that are just a spectacle to watch. Pretty Fun with Friends!

Find out the game is free, download the game and try it out, think to yourself that the game is pretty bare bones, find out that the game is made by paradox, use "legal" methods to get the DLC, have a blast with your friends.
10/10 Best Incest Simulator and a great family party game.
