I am really enjoying this "finished version" of They are Billions. I love the theme, and I really enjoy how it makes you think about how you are going to use your finite resources. Big thumbs up from me!

EDIT: July 19th-----
I now have 80 hours in the game. I am still learning new things! This is one of those games where it is easy to learn the basics, but hard to master.

I love starting up a game and trying new things .. for example... go down the magic path early instead of the going right for the Engineer upgrades early.

I must say, I had trouble until I started to double up my walls. I finally managed to finish the last of the 5 mission "campaign" (it has 25 waves) in a breeze after I did that. That's a key point!
-----Wall-----
Tower
-----Wall----
That is your key to not getting wiped out after wave 10 or so.

You can adjust the difficulty, but it is not easy! But it isn't supposed to be. You can pause the game as you like and think about your strategy. This game puts the "S" in RTS. You have to think about how you are going to spend your limited resources. This game is to the RTS genre that Dark Souls is to the 3rd person action game. Yes, it can be difficult, but when you succeed the satisfaction that you get from it is that much greater.

People moaning about difficulty I think just need to practice more. There is a reason why there is no in-game save feature, just like why you can't save willy nilly in Dark Souls. I saw someone describe this as an RTS rogue like. I think that is accurate.

Also, several of the reviews that came out when this game was released mentioned various bugs and annoying quirks. The devs have been *great* with the updates and responding to player feedback. The bug where your guys wouldn't put out fires by themselves has been fixed for example.

Look, if you get into this game from the right mindset, you will love this game as much as I do. But if you just want to win right away without any kind of a challenge or using your mind then you may have to take a pass.

Good game to play that is fun, however once you understand how to win, it becomes a little simplistic/repetitive.
Very good artwork throughout, and the gladiator theme has been implemented well, but it is simply too easy to win.

If you are a fan of ancient history, or enjoyed the film Gladiator, definitely get this game. It will certainly keep you entertained for atleast afew hours. There are alot of cool things you will probably enjoy.

*******************************************************************************
I read somewhere people were struggling in how to start this game, or how to win. I will give afew pointers.

Starting is the hardest part of the game funnily enough, but once you get settled, it will be almost impossible for you to lose. I just completed the game with 94 million in the bank.

I became a boss in hell. Ahahahahahahahahahahah. Atmospheric game where you will have to test your luck by flipping cards and get rewards. Well, and the main thing to put order in hell killing hordes of monsters and have fun.

This game’s controls are atrocious. The default control layout apparently expects you to have three arms. A decent custom one is hard to figure out since the game doesn’t allow you to rebind like half of your keyboard or any additional mouse buttons to begin with. And even then, the combination of actions assigned to each key still make no sense. It took me slightly less than an hour to figure out some decent controls, but the game still only was barely playable afterwards.

Besides all of that mess, the game is far from anything extraordinary. The background art and the music are nice, but the gameplay is nothing exciting and the story only varies in different tastes of cheesiness. It’s also rather short, somewhere between five and ten hours depending on the player.

So, in conclusion, you should only pick this game up if you buy it on sale, plan on playing it with a controller and really need to play every single game of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

You know what this game was designed to do? Crush you. Break you. But the real joy comes from spitting in the game's eye, telling it, no, ♥♥♥♥ YOU. Getting back up every time you're knocked to the ground. Yeah, the rng can easily ruin your day, your party, your hero that you built up. But you know what? Sometimes life deals you a bad hand. What matters is how you handle it. How you adapt to the way life ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you.

This is not a game that's supposed to make you feel good, or like you're good at video games, or that everything will be alright as long as you believe in the power of friendship. It's a game that makes you feel like you can take whatever life throws at you, no matter how much it sucks in the moment, because you know how to cope with unfair ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Bring it, life.

This game is embarrassingly bad. It seems written and directed by a young teen. Loved Contradiction, so tried a couple other FMV's. This and The Complex have negated any desire to do another.

I downloaded this game for the boobs but I genuinely enjoyed this story and the last 2 episodes really had me teary eyed. I seriously recommend the story of this game before anything else.

But you know, boobs too lol

Diablo meets tower defense. A great combining of two genres. The game is well balanced and well conceived. Some issues with the UI, and getting resolution adjusted and text size adjusted so text can actually be read. Also is VERY system resource intensive. Even at the lowest graphic settings, the games will take all the resources even a power house of a computer can give it and still ask for more.

Pros:
+ The art style is different, in a nice way.
+ It has a good balance of cute and dark themes.
+ The sound design is great.
+ The puzzles aren't hard; I didn't have to look anything up.
+ I loved being able to switch between realities. Switching between the seasons was my favorite.
+ As a bonus, it references many old games. (Frogger, Space Invaders, etc.)

Cons:
+ You can only have one save file, which makes going back for missed achievements tedious.
+ Some of the puzzles were annoying in that I would figure them out before the game let me do them, and then I would get "stuck" until I gave up and tried to do what didn't work before.
+ The plot was a bit disappointing. By the end it felt rushed. A "We don't know how to end this, so here you go!" sort of thing.
+ Again, that ending?????????????

Overall, I enjoyed playing this. I would not recommend it for plot, though.
