replacing my review since cs2 is steadily getting worse. if youre looking to get into a shooter, go somewhere else until this game is fixed.

the decisions from the devs have been absolutely horrendous for the past year, and they show week after week that they do not care for the players anymore. We have no communications from valve, we have maybe the worst comp map pool in ages, as cache has yet to be finished and re-added, overpass was removed in favor of dust 2 (wtf ? ) you can tell if T side is going to a or B based on frames in CT spawn on Ancient, Nuke has an incredible amount of clipping errors, as do many of the other maps, we got 2 new maps that shouldve been reserved for casual play, and hopefully never make it into rotation, and we have a steadily worsening 'subtick' system that no one wanted.

This game becomes less and less enjoyable day by day, as the devs continue to ♥♥♥♥ in our mouths and act surprised that we dont like it. And since they refuse to listen to the community (unless theyre working on a 128tick system to add and are just staying silent, which i doubt considering their work on their new game, and how useless these devs are-)

Dying behind walls is no longer a trick of the eye, or "they could still see you" as people are getting non-wallbang kills on people who they NO LONGER SEE RUNNING BEHIND A WALL (ratte on twitter has some clips of this, namely on nuke). Not to mention the sheer amount of times this happens to cause a death.

And i mean, this was sort of expected from subtick considering the whole "what you see is what you get" and how that would cause issues with higher ping players. But now, what you see is NOT what you get, as more and more times are happening when someone has a perfect shot on someone else and it simply doesnt register, or they shoot first but the other person still gets the kill first. This subtick system needs to be burned to the ground.

What sucks though, is that they know we cant go anywhere else... whats our other option ? Valorant ? I know personally i cannot play valorant as it induced motion sickness in me, so if i want anything like CS i have to play CS. But at this point id rather just play on CSGO legacy... hell id rather play against bots on a good system than against players on a unplayable system.

Valve also seems to be making a point to remove teamwork from the game and allow players to reach boost only positions by themselves now, an example of which is the semi-recent dust 2 box.

Spraying is also deff an issue in cs2, and i cannot explain why, it just feels worse. This is something many pros were complaining about when cs2 released, and now theyve just adapted to it but sprays in pro scene have absolutely not been as consistent as they were in csgo. I mean as a pretty average skill player, in csgo i can spray and hit my target most of the time as i learned the recoil pattern and drilled it into myself, but then go into cs2 and it just doenst connect as often. Its not even a "well you used to be able to do it and cant now" or "youre just looking at it with nostalgia" I legitimately went back into csgo legacy and sprayed and it connected how i remember, go back into cs2 and it doesnt.

And then we have reduced accuracy when getting hit. Correct me if im wrong (but on the counterstrike wiki, it is not listed, nor shown as a change to cs2), but i do not recall reduced accuracy in CSGO when getting bodyshot, while either awping or rifling, only as a result of aimpunch from a headshot. However now if you get hit while scoped with the awp, it blurs it and makes it aim as if you were just walking around scoped in, not even shift walking. Ak similarly loses accuracy, which may contribute to the issues with the sprays.

And then the cheater issue... it has gotten to a point where it is impossible to play premier or Map MM without a little nagging feeling that the enemy could be cheating off of one or two little sus shots, even if they have nothing else. Why? Because Valve has just let cheaters run rampant for so long at this point, and done nothing about it, that so many cheaters just have free roam in games, so weve been conditioned to see a suspicous occurance and instead of thinking "theres a small chance theyre cheating, but that was crazy timing" many of us think "theres a small chance that was legitimately crazy timing, but i wouldnt doubt hes cheating". Its just so common that... you kinda expect it. And im not even just randomly claiming this, i go back, watch the demos, and mfs just straight track thru walls, or watch where youre going to go from spawn. Its honestly kinda funny how blatant they are and still dont get banned.

all in all, until ♥♥♥♥ changes, 128 tick is re-added, ♥♥♥♥ valve, and ♥♥♥♥ these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs.
