This game perfectly encapsulates the era of edgy PS3 hack and slash games while also managing to be very unique in its presentation.

I see many people label it as a God of War ripoff which couldn't be further from the truth, it's more of an edgy 3D Zelda clone if anything.

Let me keep this review relatively short and just list the pros and cons:

Pros:

- very fun and even some relatively tricky puzzles to solve in every dungeon
- multiple locations, each with a different gimmick and item attached to it and backtracking with items that are acquired later is heavily rewarded
- fun if a bit simplistic combat
- a surprisingly fun story
- timeless artstyle (in my opinion)
- buttery smooth performance

Cons:

- jumping can be a bit weird at times. It's very consistent 95% of the time but the other 5% are noticeable
- most bosses are sadly underwhelming
- The final dungeon and fetch quest at the end do kind of overstay their welcome

All in all this game is nowhere near perfect but for the price you can get it for most of the time, it's most definitely worth a buy. It's a really fun ride and made me super nostalgic for the PS3 era of gaming again.
