I recommend this remaster solely for the reason that it is the easiest and most accessible legal method of playing the game on PC today, due to the original being de-listed after the original developers Terminal Reality went defunct, and Atari had let their license expire. This is a very bare bones and buggy release that has almost no improvements to speak of over the original version, except for the addition of Steam achievements which the original did not have, and the game has also been recompiled into a 64-bit executable, so it is more stable now and will run better on future operating systems than the original version which is 32-bit and already struggles to run properly on Windows 10 and 11. Only fair to mention that I feel. besides that, all you get is poorly upscaled CGI cutscenes with added crappy color grading that makes them look incredibly washed out, a memorial to the late Harold Ramis, and more bugs and issues than the original release of the game. If you have never played the game before, this is perfectly suitable. Just be prepared for the game to potentially break and soft lock, forcing you to reload your save. There are a few points this can potentially happen, and it is the worst part of this remaster. If you do want to buy the original PC version of this game and are willing to put up with modern Windows related shenanigans, it is available on Amazon as a digital download. It does use secure rom DRM, but the code provided will work and can be used to install it on multiple machines. I would heavily recommend that over trying to hunt down a Steam Key for it.

As for the game itself, if you like Ghostbusters then you will probably like this. It hasn't aged the greatest and is far from perfect, but it is fun and worth a playthrough. Just avoid the professional difficulty. The balancing for enemies just doesn't exist, and it is not fun at all. Play it on experienced.

Been going after the Telltale backlog of delisted games wherever I can get them fairly without risk. The Poker Night games are definitely a unique case. Take licensed video game characters you already got to use for other games, add a few more licensed characters from completely unrelated media, then make them hate each other forever. Kind of beautiful in a really messed up "this shouldn't even exist" kind of way. I definitely do not recommend paying stupid amounts of money to obtain these games like I did, but if you also got cash to burn, your best (and safest bet) is to look for Steam inventory gifts floating around on places like Marketplacetf. It's safer than buying a key from grey markets, and you aren't risking getting scammed like when trading with random people in the forum. They are however in ever decreasing very limited quantity, so it's up to whoever can get to them first, and is willing to pay the cost. I especially don't recommend it if you are just in it for the TF2 items. Those are a nice bonus, but you are gonna get the most out of this by actually... playing the game. You know? I only recommend it if you are looking for a good time, and love these characters as much as I do.

This game is almost a full year younger than me, and it kinda always hovered above my head as one of those games I would eventually be able to play someday. That day did finally come when I gave myself administrative rights on my windows 7 middle school laptop (they never found out somehow,) and played it on Steam with an account I no longer have. Played it again a little bit today for the anniversary while thinking about how this game has at least been involved in some part of almost my entire life up to this point, whether it be me watching youtube let's plays and videos on grandma's XP dell when i was probably 7 years old or something, or finally getting to play it at age 11. Kinda funny. Happy anniversary HL2.

It's fun so far. Played a little on the PS3 but never finished it. Massively prefer how it controls and feels to the second game when using KBM. Things like super sampling and HDR are also nice, looks great on an OLED. Do not recommend it at the price point they are giving you, get it on sale or a key site.

This is literally the best FnaF game since UCN. It's miles better than any of the games Steel Wool have made and feels like a true return to form for the franchise. Here's hoping it lasts and we continue getting great games from developers who actually know how to develop a horror game that functions as intended.

Played it with my friends at launch and remembered I'd never actually given it a review. I dunno what else there is to possibly add to what others have said about it. It's bad, plain and simple. is what it is. political agendas and consultant companies aside, it is still bad regardless. If the game followed a republican political agenda it would still suck dong all the same. Devs also recently announced they won't be doing consistent devlogs anymore, sign of things to come most likely, (as in next to nothing ever again.) Arkham deserved better, and I am utterly sick of suicide squad related media, make something new.

After playing through it fully again, I really think Dark Souls is a big contender for my favorite game ever made. Doesn't beat Shadow of the Colossus, but it is very close. Maybe that third playthrough might do it for me.

Second best game in the series imo. Puts the horror front and center and does not pull any punches in that regard. Very well executed. The only downside is this is the game responsible for making the story a gigantic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess that nobody sane actually cares about anymore. Seriously do not bother with the story past 3, pretend this is still 2015 and this game is just a fun little non cannon spin off (and do the same for the rest of these games going forward.) The gameplay in most of the later games after this one is fantastic still, but do not bother if you are invested in the story.
