Yohn Yore returns once more as one of the video game medium's most iconic protagonists, this time to tackle a threat greater than ever before. "Peaks of Yore" allows gamers, readers, and zoologists alike to step into the shoes of YY (Yohn Yore) himself and experience a world devoid of social media. Companions and rivals travel together, communicating through the sheer strength of their fingertips (please suspend your disbelief when playing this game, as unlike the era portrayed, these characters underwent rigorous medical practices to be grafted with uranium in the place of fingers) and battle alongside each other to best both bird and crimp. Must I truly say more?

Beat the game very quickly.
While it's nice that there are several optional little quests to visit and that certainly do have effort put into them, the game itself feels far more like a tech demo than an actual game.
I do believe getting a lot this working is a substantial feat of coding, but the game design itself certainly does not match that level of awe. For what gameplay there is, it's mostly a slog of moving very slowly, consulting your map, and initiating a simple (but still unique due to the geometrical design) minigame.

Personally, I was also not quite a fan of the story itself, but that's a personal gripe.

I cannot recommend this game for the pricetag, unfortunately, but kudos to the creator nonetheless.

If he were to use a lot of the code he used to create this game into a more polished and thoughtful one, I would be more than happy to try it out. It has a lot of potential.

For the most part the game was very creative.
However, I'm a little confused as to why they decided to add a normal everyday college teacher as a 'monster'.

What makes a car accident better than this game?

The car accident has a higher chance of making you forget the experience.

It's a great game. Doing the B-sides and C-sides and especially the new Chapter 9 makes me want to die because of how many times you'll end up dying in the game, but the style, music, and great emotional story keeps my will to live around just enough to make me want to push through.

Great game, though. Get it now.
