I ran into the same bug you did where you get invisible train cars. No I am a bit of a newb with fixing issues like that... How did you fix it, I mean, step by step so I can reproduce the fix? I'm not finding a specific asset to add to blacklist to fix the issue. Any help is welcomed. Thanks.

So it is clearly a game mechanic which plays in here, but I cannot see, what exactly is happen here. You would require to have the sources for Cities Skylines to see, what Colossal Order has coded for this behaviour. Unfortunately CO has also not released any type of modding compendium, which explains each and every item you can change. Therefore I assume it will not likely, that this can be fixed in the future as "business as usual" the default game design. But I definetaly need to document it in the Wiki. Maybe you can overcome this reduced speed by changing the top speed ? Did not try it out by now...
