it is a good game but it has a pay to win aspect and i don't like pay to win, if they remake the sequels they better not put in the pay to win crap.

it is an okay game without mods, with mods it is a great game, if you don't like something odds are there is at least one mod to fix it, there are a lot of good mods like prepare carefully and rimworld of magic and androids just to name a few good ones (note some mods require other mods to run, they are on the right side of the mod page next to the mod author)

it is a great game, most of the factions are fun to play(i just suck at the rest), i will say something about my favorite factions, the undead are one of my favorites, they only heal passively at night unlike the rest that heal passively all of the time but they heal twice as fast at night and one of the magic spells your heroes can cast turns it to nights(and with an upgrade at the undead's main building can spend resources to change it to night as well), the undead faction units upgrade from skeletons to almost every other unit they have using resources, the dark dwarfs are my second favorite due to one unit the iron golem, they might be my favorite unit in the game being able to hit every enemy around them both ground and air at the same time and tanky to boot but vary slow... so so slow... they have other units but most only hit ground making the iron golem one of the only anti air unit other then the ballista and wraith\shadows and units from the flying unit building all factions get, the fay are my favorite to play as, i play them more then any other race even though i like the undead faction's gimmick more, a swarm of sylphs destroying your enemies is funny as hell, spriggans are good to but unlike the destroyers know as sylph swarms can only attack ground units, oakmen are builder units that double as infantry, they are tanky but a little slow until the speed upgrade research, leprechauns give a small gold income for existing and are good renged units to put into towers to keep them safe, pixies are good ranged units but don't give gold but they do good damage, sprites are a ranged flying unit that is good in large numbers but can die really fast, unicorns are cav units that can heal, healing is vary important in this game since units can gain veterancy and become vary powerful, most units of the fay other then oakmen and unicorns are vary frail and can die fast, spriggans and sylphs can dodge attacks but can still die in 1-2 good hits, i love this game and could talk about almost every other race like this(except plaguelords i still don't know how to play them) but this is long enough as it is.

tl;dr fun rts 17 factions with little to no unit overlap, would recommend.

not even worth playing on sale, don't waste your money or time.

this is the most boring arpg i have ever played, it feels like you aren't getting anywhere, if it gets better later i will never know since the beginning is so boring and feeling like you aren't making any progression even though you unlock things they aren't interesting enough to keep me playing at least, if you like arpgs i wouldn't recommend this game.

there is only one mech in the single player story mode, i bought this game for the mech variety and not multiplayer and thus got nothing, until that problem changes it is not worth your time or mine.

i did not enjoy this game.

there is no tactical thought you can have since every battle boils down into you and the enemy camping and rolling hoping for a random hit, and even if you negate the random with explosives you get less research and thus will lose due to being behind the enemy in tech, anyone who thinks there is strategy in this game don't realize that this game is the jock sport version of a tactical rpg.

every match i played had toxic players who blamed me after i said i was new at the game, the tutorial didn't explain the difference between the lanes since they have different tactical edges.

did not have fun, the tutorial didn't teach you how to play the game well, the menus were hard to understand, and overall negative players who will utterly destroy new players, and overall it just wasn't enjoyable to me, i wish i never played the game.
