As someone that played this game since the early play tests, I can absolutely recommend this game to other people.

Sure the free-to-play confusion and the inability to link my account to steam was all over the place at first, but with how much they have to do, it is completely understandable it took a bit. No one even expected that Dark and Darker would release on steam to begin with. Look, how many games out there let you experience more than half of the game for completely free with unlimited amount of time? Some people are complaining about the fact you have to buy the full access via in game currency, making it impossible to refund. But...why are you trying to refund a game that you could play as much as you wanted before buying it in the first place?

I will say though, I can agree with maybe giving free-to-play people 1 more character slot at least. But please keep in mind that people like me that bought the game ages ago, supporting the developers deserve to be treated fairly. That and opening the game up too much would open the flood gates to the real money traders and cheaters.

Anyways, if you enjoy very challenging experience, then this is absolutely the game for you. You will die...A LOT, be it the dungeon or the players, but that's part of the experience. You will get better and climb the food chain eventually.

10/10 Would die again.
