Well, starting with downsides - the Paradox's policy with DLCs is really disgusting. Their prices are high and the DLCs are containing things which should be in the basic game. Also, amount of them... it really sucks and scares away even a regular costumer like me.

The things I love in EU4 are closely linked with my hobbies - history and strategy. You can play as any country in years 1444-1821 (unfortunately, many of enjoyable to play countries are much more attractive with mentioned above D L C s). I barely get bored of this game and find perfect for history enthusiasts! (unless you hate paradox's DLCs policy!!!!!)
