Indie developers taking up the torch to keep classic survival horror alive is always a pleasure to see. Definitely worth your time and money. I cannot wait to see what these devs have in store for us in the future.

This is a game that is both beautiful and tragic. Hopeful and bleak. Nostalgic and melancholic. Would I recommend this game to you? Absolutely! However, there are a few caveats to this game: 1. This game will not hold your hand at all. You need to read between the lines to understand certain key aspects of its systems. 2. This game is a slow-burner, and it will take it's time making small cuts across your ethics, your resources, your time, and your in-game character. 3. This game is not fun. Not in the slightest. You will be tested endlessly. It's not needlessly cruel or sadistic, but it'll apply pressure to you nonetheless.

So, why should you play this game then? It's difficult, slow, and, at times, frustrating. However, that's what makes it engaging. All these systems maintain engagement by making what you need to do seem futile and impossible. I don't feel like a hero in this story. In this game, I'm not special. That seems so antithetical to why people play games. However, it engages me by presenting me with this challenge, going so far to stack the bet against me, and then kindly asking me to do it anyway. This is the first time that a game has captivated me so utterly. I've thought about restarting the game and doing it over, or even giving up entirely, but I'm too invested in what I've done, mistakes and all. Give it a try, for the sake of all who wish to see this game made complete. Pathologic 2 will not disappoint you.
