Ori and the Will of the Wisps is worthy sequel to its predecessor. It retains the expressiveness and fluidity of the original while expanding platforming and combat, and giving you a whole new world to explore. The game is constantly giving you new tools to play around with, each area has a unique gimmick or central idea that prevents things from getting stale.
That being said, some mechanics feel tacked on or unnecessary, such as quests, an abundance of characters, a currency system, several different collectables, all of which intrude on what could have been a tighter, more focused experience (like Blind Forest was). To mention the obvious: too much inspiration was taken from Hollow Knight. Additionally, the narrative is somewhat of a retread of the first game's story, and with much lower stakes.

In short, there is more good, but also more bad. Still, it is absolutely worth playing if you loved the original game.
