I got this game in its early stages so I can honestly say that it has improved tremendously! Good job Gary! ;)

Pretty good. Runs well on an older PC. I haven't quite developed a full opinion yet. It was a bit underwhelming at first. Maybe because it looks so much like PC2. But...after I played it and got my wheel and in-game settings right it became it's own thing. A lot of the content is familiar . I hope they do some more familiar cars, tracks and maybe some hill climbs.

Update: With the addition of the Nords, GT3, GT4 cars and improvements made since my last review I'd say this game is shaping up very nicely! I play it a lot more now.

I like it! Got it on a steam sale for 20 bucks. Worth every penny.

Old game but is pretty freakin great! Precursor to Raceroom. You will notice the similarities. It takes some tweaking to get the ffb right but once you do it is a joy to drive. Lots of mods, tracks and cars. The graphics are actually pretty darn good for a game this old. The best thing is that this game will run on a potato of a pc. I am enjoying it quite a bit. If you do get this game go to Race Department and get the "Ultramod" Collection. It has a ton of tracks and cars all put together. It more than doubles the content in the game.

I can't recommend the game yet as the FFB is not right. It is so close yet misses the mark completely with the lack of road feel. I can feel the weight but no road surface like in DR1 and D4. I fail to understand how they can leave out such an essential, integral part of any driving game. Aren't you guys (Codemasters) embarrassed yet? I was looking forward to the track degradation because I thought I'd be able to feel the ruts and roughness of the road but, nope.

Update: Well I have acceptable (not great) ffb now. It still has a few glitchy spots but at least it's playable now. I decided this is not Dirt Rally but a whole new game. I am just going to play it and enjoy it. The addition of Wales is a huge plus, love that place!

Update 2 April 2022: Ok just now coming back to this game...they finally got it right. Much better. FFB feels great I am not getting glitches anymore so far as I can tell. I can now reccomend this game.

Awesome sim. Lots of cars and tracks to subscribe to. Great FFB detail, great physics, and good graphics. Must play with a ffb wheel to appreciate the feel. If you are artistic and have a lot of time to kill you can build your own mods and do skins. I am having a blast with it.

Love this game. Best career mode for single player IMO. I play a lot of racing titles. I'm not a fanboy of any one in particular. I feel like they all have their charms and weaknesses. The things I like most about PC2 are: the weather, the time cyles, and the Live Track. The one thing that bugs me is the shadow textures. This title covers quite a bit of racing ground. I bought it on the summer sale, great deal!! Wait for it to go on sale again before you buy it.

Changing my review. I have learned to appreciate AMS. Buy it!

Love me some AC! This was the first real sim software I ever experienced. I had been playing Forza 4 on Xbox 360 and chose to go with Assetto Corsa when I moved to PC. It has fantastic ffb and the tracks and cars look wonderful. I am not an online multiplayer as I prefer single player career mode and time trials/hot lapping so I can't speak about the online community.
