Overall Objective Score: *8/10*
Personal Score: *9/10*

Cassette Beasts is a true love letter to those who love pokémon that Game Freak Head Honchos themselves could give less of a ♥♥♥♥ to give us. It is a really special game in my opinion and anyone that even remotely likes pokémon should definitely give it at least shot, at its default price I'd even say it's worth it.

**__Gameplay: 8.5/10__**
The gameplay in cassette beasts isn't revolutionary by any means for an RPG but for an monster catching game it has incredible innovation from Pokémon. From fusion to every battle being a double battle it is a true breath of fresh air. It's post game is pretty enjoyable but gets repetitive very fast.

**__Story:__** 8/10
Cassette Beasts story is mainly a mystery throughout 3/4's of the game with not many huge answers given until the last act. I found this to be a positive and a negative but mostly a positive, the characters are also very good.

**__Music & Graphics:__** 8.5/10
The battle music can get a tad bit repetitive but what RPG doesn't have that issue. The music here is almost all incredibly enjoyable chill music and all of the more action battle music kicks up even better to be an awesome experience when you fuse!

**__Performance:__** 7.5/10
I ran into a few issues/glitches with cassette beasts nothing by any means to be game breaking but slight annoyances/take you out of the game.

**__Challenge:__** 7.5/10
The game is definitely challenging when you don't know what your doing but, later on it becomes very easy when you learn about a certain firey bug and a funny starter. Of course you could just not use it but I found it made grinding within endgame much more fun.

Overall even though the beginning has a harsh learning curve and some of the enemies are really tuff and sometimes unfair, the game play in the game feels better then 2016 imo. There are things to be improved upon and things that shouldn't haven't changed but I wanna stress this game isn't like 2016 it's practically an entirely different game, it feels more like Quake then Doom but I like it.
