This essay will be the comprehensive overview to the human being that is Elijah. This creature is one of many “internet strong men” (ISM) who pose as something that they are not, particularly online. Elijah could be classified as an a-typical ISM as his tendencies and mannerisms do not completely fall into line with the standard. Although he expresses many ISM characteristics such as being an incel, rage, and toxicity, his overall thought process is simpler.
Elijah is, by definition, an incel. He excels at objectifying and projecting a dominance of women that is based on delusion. Fueled by a lack of sexual attention he both fantasizes about and fears the attention of females. This can be observed in his speech mannerisms. For example he has said, “I would pound that stupid c*nts p*ssy.” Outbursts like this are commonplace among conversations with and around Elijah.
Rage is a key factor of the ISM. Elijah exhibits this trait in every competitive interaction he is presented with. He makes mistakes often and places the blame on other people. This rage is exemplified in the following quotes. “You baited me.” “I hope you have a son that gets cancer and gets hit by a drunk driver.” “You baited me” “Get Cancer.” You baited me.” “I f*cking hate n******.” “You f*cking baited me.” These lines are often followed by a tantrum ending in a damaged or destroyed desk.
Similarly to his rage, Elijah is the human embodiment of toxicity. He has faced serious consequences as a result of his outbursts including a ban from the ESEA servers. However, this has not deterred him from persisting in this behavior. His ISM toxicity occasionally carries over into the physical world as well. He has been recorded saying, “Your p*ssy is dead b*tch, I fell out that hole” to his own mother.
When put into perspective it is clear to see that Elijah is an ideal example of an a-typical ISM. The culmination of his characteristics illustrate a solid picture of this cell dwelling creature. He is the boogie man. He is the monster under the bed. He is Elijah.
