Ive been playing ark for the past year or so and I've only really played PVE private servers with my buddy. Let me tell you, this game is amazing when you first start playing it. The start of a new ark is incredible. Its really hard to progress in the beginning of ark. Dino's are constantly killing you (If you spawn in a harder zone) but its extremely fun to progress and learn new engrams and fight different dinos. I only have 748 hours in it and I'm still learning new stuff in the game. I have never played on a pvp server before so I can't really say anything about pvp servers. The combat in this game can be very buggy but not terrible. Ark is one of those games I just keep coming back to and starting up a new world with my friend. Motivation is a huge thing in this game. Getting to a boss takes weeks and weeks of prep (if you play on very low XP and Gathering rates) But overall, its one of my favorite games. I highly recommend playing ark and having a good time with friends. PLEASE if you have a friend to play with, DO IT. singleplayer can be very boring. PVE with a friend is such a better experience.
