It's been years that have passed by. from the Game boy, Nintendo, PSP, Mobile, PlayStation 3, Laptop and PC gaming, I've had enough.
I've been part of this carousel of the gaming world.
I've played them all. from flash games and RPG MMO, up to Simulators and PvP.
It's been a wonderful ride and i am grateful for it. yet i must acknowledge that we grow up, and so does our surroundings. we cant be stuck into a single thing for such a long time and expect the same. its a sad reality we live in but we have to say goodbye to it.
And so i have said to video games. all that money wasted and the potential time i could have saved myself over achievements and grinds that i found more important then my physical and mental health.

But shady, why did you stop playing video games?
It's not that complicated now, is it?
toxic communities, over-monetized games and dlc's, product design over game design. i could go on and on, talk about each individual game and developer how awful everything is, but long story short:
video games are entertainment. period.
we play video games to escape reality, and how sad it is. but sooner or later we will understand that this will be a consequence that we face if we don't act early enough before its too late.
oh how video games were simple and enjoyable back in the days. because that's the truth, game designers cared about their work to be perfected and straight forward.
Design a game and have fun playing. charge money for all the effort put into it because it should not go unnoticed in the process. until the big boys in the office came in, to milk the people and the concept of video games. how awful!
now is that to say you should ultimately give up your hopes on video games? NO! but how come what video game is good and what isn't? well, just wait until i discuss that with you in a bit.
for now, take a break. our parents were right, we need to go outside more and be productive.
