HAKANAKU TAYUTAU SEKAI WO KIMI NO TE DE MAMOTTAKARA

The game that really started the Persona saga for many people is often overlooked because it originates from the PS2 era. Now, Persona 3 Reload arrives, standing alongside the most popular entry, Persona 5. It incorporates everything that worked while maintaining its own unique identity, including the soundtrack, characters, and its story about appreciating the journey of life.

It is expensive, and the fact that it doesn’t include the DLC "The Answer" is disappointing (especially since it's not included in the Deluxe/Premium edition and must be purchased separately). It doesn’t offer much new content beyond QoL changes, such as the ability to control your teammates adding more combat moves for them and the linked episodes with S.E.E.S teammates. Additionally, the content in the other editions are not worth it (the OST is just an executable, and it doesn't even include the songs of Episode Aigis). However, it is still the best way to experience this game for both Persona 5 fans and newcomers to the franchise.

Episode Aigis:
My sister's protector... You know that's me! Metiiiis! ♪

Coming back from P3Fes, The Answer, rebranded as Episode Aigis, has adopted a similar approach to Reload, focusing on remaking cutscenes and refining some character dialogues. However, the main issue with this DLC like the original is that it essentially feels like Tartarus 1.5. Players must navigate through 148 floors of the Abyss of Time, having brief two-minute character scenes after a boss fight, only to do it again for each door. This becomes tedious, especially if you didn't particularly enjoy Tartarus in the main game, with only the short scenes and 20% of the game that is left after going though all doors being the only part one is invested to see.

The DLC offers limited new content and doesn't justify its $35 price tag, with only short, unvoiced linked episodes available after collecting certain items. If you enjoyed Tartarus and don’t mind the grind, then it's worth it since the story, characters and scenes are very interesting, but i would recommend waiting for a discount. Instead, if you found the Tartarus mechanic boring, you might be better off watching a YouTube video summarizing all the scenes to follow the story.
