In a world slowly becoming akin to Cyberpunk 2077, somehow the game feels right at home. I played it from release and it has come a long way. December 2020 to now the game has not only been revamped with new mechanics and even a new DLC, it has actually been able to embody the genre as a whole. The skill tree no longer feels off (Looking at you commando perk pre 2.0). You can actually spec into a build and make satisfying combos and even respec if you want to change. The glitches and bugs from release have been basically extant in my playthroughs. I noticed how CDPR updated and slowly added more branching content that was previously missing at launch. Had it launched the way it was now, it would definitely have been potentially the game of the year 2020, depending on your stance on TLOU2 ofc.

New things added over the years include:
-Car weaponry
-New weapons
-Fast Travel/Metro system
-Car paint jobs added in 2.2
-MORE CYBERWARE
-Better Customization
-More Interactions between V and Johnny
-Lore inclusions are aplenty more
-Phantom Liberty and new endings

The DLC Phantom Liberty added many things the game needed and expanded the story adding more depth between Johnny and V. You get to explore a new sector and gain access to new missions and content, not available in the original game. A few new changes to endings are added in Phantom Liberty and we are given more backstory on certain characters we interacted with previously. Solomon Reed and other characters feel welcome and add a new layer of authenticity to CP2077. I am glad CDPR kept going through all the hate and vitriol after launch and were able to come back and make a banger title. I rate the game about 8/10.
