PES used to be my childhood. A game that i played 3-4 hours a day, nearly everyday. I owned pes 2008, 2009, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and finally this abomination called e football. I will explain why i truly hate this game and i would never buy it if it wasnt f2p.

At first glance, this game gives the impression that it respects its roots. The gameplay elements that made PES the game it was, are here. The physics and movements are better than the competition. Small elements that make the game feel "real" are here. The GK movements seem authentic and the graphics are way better than version 0.x.

However, this mist of originality gets dispersed when u reach div 4 in the game. From this point onwards, the game becomes P2W without admitting it. And thats not all. At this point, even some academic professor start to care enough (since the PES series is THAT old) to construct papers that prove that this game tries to imitate the success of League Of Legends -with the skin and events prices- without making the experience better for the player that actually plays. For example, we have 19-20 different versions of Messi, even though players like him are not the meta. Someone with no experience at the game thinks that messi will buy him success then logs in plays a match and witnesses his messi and squad get anhilated by simple controls that make defence so easy and scriptable. In other words, its not the P2W cards that are the main issue with the game, but the control scheme and script that makes players play a specific way in order to win games, while cultivating the feeling that better cards will win u more games.

I BET 2000$ cash that the next moneygrab tactic this abomination of a Company will integrate in this game is a marketplace with guaranteed epics for 500 coins, which will make them more money while keeping the gameplay as toxic as it is now. Great addition to anyones Total War Library. Worth every penny, especially when its on sale.

One of the most enjoyable games i have ever played

This game is the best total war game of the franchise. It throws everything it has on u. U must be extremely Patient, strategically smart and cautious to win a whole campaign in this game. If u think u are good in total war games, go play legendary difficulty on Western Roman Empire. I DARE U TO DO IT!
