I have finished this game once before getting it on Steam, took me 80-something hours.
In itself, the game is not hard, the turn-based combat system is understandable and the plot drives you from point A clearly to point B to point C all the way to point Z, you don't get to feel lost in the "what now". The graphic is dated, but that's hardly an issue (unless He'li's breast don't poke your eye out, in which case you were standing too close anyway).
The concepts of many of the things are great, the Gadgeteer combining, the pouring of potions together by alchemists, that is excellent, but it should have been made a more important feature in my eyes, this way it feels more like an afterthought. When you are willing to spend half an hour on each NPC (I am), you get to learn some very nifty lore about Dominus, that was a bit I seriously enjoyed the hell out of.
The combats take long, especially at higher levels. It feels unnecessary and annoying after a while. And the areas feel eerily empty.

On it's own, this is a great game (and a very good conclusion to the Dark Savant trilogy) which would definitely in my eyes be worth seeing done again tuned to "today."
