In the past I really tried to like the RTS genre but it just didnt click to me, halo wars, WH dawn of war, company of heroes 2, Iron harvest, I liked them but honestly I wouldn't play them again, but after discovering TW warhammer 3 due to a friend wanting to play it, It completely changed my view on these type of games.

To be honest I was this close to dropping in the beginning, cause I thought I would be a great idea to play as kislev in my fisrt MP campain, and as you can imagine I got absolutelly destroyed in my fist manual battle, after that I just rage quitted.

After my friends insisted on playing I decided to learn the game and I focused on learning the Empire, and after finally understanding the game mechanics and RTS that was when It finally clicked, the reason I love this game is because you controll a faction, not an army in a single war/level like in other RTS, that after It's over all of it is gone, here you move the army through the map and fight in different types of terrain with varied topology and altitude, you really feel like a general commanding an army in the RTS, but in the world map you feel like a lord managing a territoy, building settlements as well as controling influence and diplomacy with other faccions, making a big contrast between the micro of battle and the macro of the world map.

In conclusion TW Warhammer 3 is my new forever game, If you can get past the cost of the base game and DLC's you can find a really good and rewarding game to play and learn.

PS: dont buy it through steam (too expensive) go to a 3rd party key seller, specially for the DLC's, you can also buy it during a discount, because If you get into it the money you saved is going to pay for those DLC's ;3

Also a tip; If you want the blood for the blood god DLC fot the ingame blood effects, you can buy the TW Warhammer 1 blood for the blood god and It will also work and it's cheaper. :3
