while rpg elements are rather lackluster and the "yes,no,sarcastic" system was a bad choice for interaction.

fallout 4 in it's whole is in my opinion is far from a bad game

the introduction of the new perk system made it so every s.p.e.c.i.a.l stat now actually serves a purpose.
not to forget that the density of Boston is insane when venturing trough there it actually feels like a cuty with many alleyways, interesting locations, and accessible buildings which can sometimes lead to more places to go and explore.

not to forget that the introduction of the crafting system makes it so visiting these places is actually worth it now.
before you would find many places that just had a bunch of useless stuff and no NPC's
and while these places are still present in fallout 4, even these places sometimes feel very rewarding as junk is now your main source for materials like screws, adhesive, glass etc etc.
if you were to find a burned-out campfire with some bottles you would walk away rather dissapointed in fallout new vegas.
in fallout 4 on the other hand you can use the glass to make yourself a new scope or maybe make a new display case in your settlement.

now granted fallout 4 has it's flaws.
one such flaw is granting the player power armor at the beginning of the game and make power armor one of the easiest things to find.

and while the new power armor system is far better than the previous ones it being an actual mechanical suit you get into rather than some equippable armor.

it would be much better if pieces were a lot more rare and in higher level areas. with the occasional full suit that can be found at military bases.

there are many other points that can be discussed such as the gunplay being way smoother, enemies being way more versatile and the whole dilemma of wether you should be with or against the brotherhood.
but I haven't had breakfast yet so nah

in conclusion, fallout 4 is in my opinion a bittersweet masterpiece which while lackluster in RPG elements succeeds fallout new vegas in nearly every other way.
