terraria is an all around solid game. i would recommend it for anyone.

Risk of rain 2 is an astounding rougelike experience. I really enjoy being able to get deep into a game session and being able to stack the game's multitude of fun items in order to turn myself into the ultimate killing machine. the variety of characters available allow you to explore several different playstyles and pick one that suites you best

Basically you spend 90% of the time to get a stupid amount of mods to work together, then you play for 2 hours and get crushed by enemies, and I wouldn't have Rimworld any other way.

Iron Snout is essentially the pinnacle of free games on steam. It's a nice simple and well made arcade game that's fun to pick up every once in a while and play for a half an hour. It's easy to pick up and fiddle around with a little bit, as well as compete with your friends as to who can survive the longest in endless mode.

It's a pretty sick game, I really enjoyed being able to upgrade my ships and increase my fleet in power. the game has fun mechanics and the fact that it's free, takes up little space, and can run on your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop you bought back in 2010 makes this a very enjoyable game that I can't recommend enough.

it's got some neat mechanics but the gameplay is pretty stale. I can't whole-heartedly recommend it as it doesn't really bring anything innovative or interesting to the table. Long story short, you play as one of 4 different characters and fight off increasing waves of enemy aliens. being able to deploy automated weapons and troops was kinda neat but it's not a very compelling game in the end.
