Before you play this game, know that it has a very steep learning curve.

Your first several hours are going to be spent figuring out how not to fall victim to the instant death traps, how to dodge and hit things without being hit in return, and unlocking backgrounds, which provide a different starting bonus depending on your choice.

A full runthrough of this game only takes about an hour, but it took me about 50 hours of gameplay to beat for my first time. It took me that long to learn how to master just one of the five classes in the game (mage in my case) and build a run with the right tools to survive until the rift and actually beat the final boss.

I am currently sitting around 60 to 70 hours of gameplay, and I am learning the knight class. For me, the game has proven its value simply from how replayable it is and how I've spent so long on a game where runthroughs are so short. I still have countless hours to go if I want to learn each class and beat the game on hard mode.

Highly recommended to any fan of rogue-lites, tough and complex combat, unique classes & skill trees, and great artwork.
