Capcom adds drm systems that remove modding and prevent playing on the steam deck. negative review until fixed. it was fixed silently I didnt even get an update someone suggested trying to verify files again and it worked.

Well written story and sidequests.
Beautiful graphics if its super important.
Best broom flying and you have access to two other kinds of mounts.
Combat is the magic equivalent of an Arkham game, so enjoyable and fun to play around with.
The room of requirement and vivarium can be tedious if you arent into timer gameplay.
All in all a decent game and especially in the world of book or movie spinoffs produced by AAA companies.
A stunning performance by Avalanche and all involved.

Editing this after playing or awhile. I have never had a game purchase make me feel like I did the right thing as it has with this game. Off-world is top notch and the LIQUID gaming servers are some of the most well run I have played on. This game is basically an updated version of project reality. which in itself was a modded version of battlefield. the game systems are well done and constantly balanced for updates. If you enjoy slow placed mechanized infantry combat then squad is a masterclass in how to do it properly. A single game in squad can be quite long depending on how it goes and the learning curve is moderately steep. But when you get a great game you will instantly recognize all the pieces falling into place. Steam rolling can be boring and getting stomped is the same. When you have a commander that knows what they're doing and squad leaders that effectively organize advances, retreats, armor, and logistics. It's like being a part of a completely in sync orchestra.
