This has been a long time coming for me. Ever since 2011 when Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure first launched, It dawned on me that Spyro the Dragon was nothing more than a marketing ploy for Activision to jump onto the Toys-to-Life hype train. I had hoped for several years that they would one day make the decision to give fans what they wanted ever since they fell in love with this trilogy back in 1998-2000 onward. After seeing Crash Bandicoot get his N. Sane Trilogy back in 2017, I had a feeling that a Spyro Trilogy was on the way. Despite believing otherwise, I still saw myself nearly crying when a close friend sent me the reveal trailer back in April 2018. After 100% completing the trilogy in the span of a weekend (Including Achievements and Skill Points.) I can safely say that this was an excellently made remake, taking artistic freedoms in places the originals physically couldn't handle through fan service to all those who grew up playing this trilogy in their childhood. With the help of lovingly made mods such as original soundtrack adaptations, and modern takes on classic in-game models, I feel as though this is the definitive way to experience these games. Thanks to the quick loading times it makes things easy to hop in and play these games whenever you want to take a trip down memory lane with stunning visuals, and exceptional attention to detail. Overall, This is a 10/10 experience for me, and I would happily recommend this trilogy to whomever had grown up to this genre of games, or is interested in platformers in general.
