Early Access Review
Sadly, this rough gem was abandoned by developer in December 2022 ...
Still fun.

My suggestions:
  • adjust pricetag to 2.99
  • clearly state on shop page "NOT EARLY ACCESS ANYMORE - NO FURTHER DEVELOPMENT!"

edited, because it's just an unfinished game - not a disaster.

Review - DEMO VERSION -

Why?
DL this free demo after seeing it on the Nerdcastle.

What
Very entertaining strategy game, which blends deckbuilding and turn-based combat with stylized visuals.

What now?
Some of the best 30-40mins/ playthrough which you can get for free. This is a very promising title,
  • solid mechanics
  • great artstyle
  • fun experience

I wishlisted it, let's see how balanced the final product will be.

-:: No Life V ::-
TL;DR
Grand Theft Auto is THE GAME, highly addictive. Save your children, make them play outside.

The ALL-IN-ONE Game
Seriously. There are so many activities in San Andreas already ... and R* keeps pushing updates to enhance the game world. There is a reason why GTA V is the most successful entertainment product in history.

GTA Story Mode
Industry standard defining game mechanics and superb production values. Highly recommendable!

GTA:O
I've sunk over 4k hours into this, it's great. Grind solo or with a crew - besides all the modding and toxic MK2 users, I've met many cool people! What sounds like the beginning of a joke (A Danish, a Romanian and a German are robbing a bank) turned out to be the most fun i've ever had in my online gaming career.

Why I can't recommend it
Do something more important with your life. This will suck up your time - big time.
Of course, I'll buy GTA VI. But next time, I'll just pay for all the content and will not put another 4k hours into this.

Early Access Review
TL;DR
Shut up and take my money!

What to expect
When I started to get comfortable after 95 hours of practice, I disabled the board autocatch feature today. Now I suck at this again.

Selling Points
  • Map
Brooklyn Banks and parts of Lower Manhattan, NYC - if you've ever seen a Zoo York skate video, you'll know. Best street skating map in skate-game history, in my opition. Devs did a good job of balancing real-world vs. fictional skate-ability of the environment. Unlike the NY level from THPS, you won't find conveniently placed quaterpipes on almost every wall. Of course, it's optimized for skating. But this map wants to be explored, and you'll start to see spots as you learn to skate.
  • Realism
When you are able to pull off a line like Jamie Thomas - Welcome to Hell (BS Lip down 9 stair rail, Kickflip, Heelflip, Ollie down 4 stair set, Tre Flip, BS 50-50 down 13 stair rail Link), you can consider yourself very good at this.
Basically: you will fall a lot - but be honest: when was the last time you stepped on a skateboard IRL and didn't fall?
  • Learning Curve
Once you've managed to coordinate feet movement, rotation, direction and momentum, you might pull of your first Tre Flip. Most likely you won't roll away, but you'll be stoked. Now, just put in some work on speed and timing - and experience the magic of a clean landing. Now go skate!
  • Controls (gamepad only!)
If you've ever stood on a skateboard and tried to understand what you were doing - this one is for you. It's a simulator after all: for an Ollie you have to pop with your back foot and pull up your front foot (analog sticks). You're turning by shifting weight with your shoulders (triggers).
There are various options for you to de-/increase realism level. But be warned, some people don't even get past the tutorial.
  • Creativity
Alright, you've completed all the historical challenges. You've been doing 360 Hardflips Noseblunts (no autocatch) down the multiple kink rail at the police underpass consistently and you get bored of the "easily" accessible spots around town.
Now use the built in object placement tool and create your own spot. You'll be amazed, how a pile of dirt and two sheets of plywood will turn a construction site into skaters paradise.
When you've had enough of the streets, why not take it to the roof?

  • More to come
It's an Early Access title, we're still waiting for multiplayer.

This EA title seems This title is worthy of your support. I'm happy that Coldwild Games managed to pulll this off, it turned out to be a very nice game.

Early Access Review: TURMOIL

TL;DR: Ruining the environment has never been so satisfying

Rating: 4,1 of 5 - go for it!

  • artwork 8/10
  • addiction factor 8/10
  • early access progress 8/10
  • game mechanics 7/10
  • replay value 10/10

In Turmoil, you are supposed to make a fortune by drilling for oil in a western-like environment. Its visual appearence is fairly simple but charming.

Turmoil is one of those games, which are extremely addicting satisfying - while the game mechanics are simple enough to avoid frustration, the gameplay leaves enough room for various strategies to succeed.

Whereas you are simply building oilrigs and horsecarts in the beginning, a good deal of technology becomes available as you progress in the game. Speaking of which, there are three different biomes: fertile land 1&2, desert and arctic. Within these areas, subplots are auctioned between player and AI.

This game is the perfect multitasking stimulus, maybe a little shallow in the end. Nevertheless, it is quite balanced - and loads of fun to play. As the oilpockets are randomized, the replay value is great,

PRO
  • massive addiction factor
  • easy game meachanics
  • gameplay leaves room for different strategies
  • replay value 10/10
  • very good support by devs

CONTRA
  • feels a little shallow during late game
  • AI opponents could be tougher

Early Access related problems
  • no story in campaign mode/ real ending
  • occasional bugs (which get fixed regurlarly)

41/50 - would support the developer team again!

Adorable resource gathering/managing game

TL;DR: calm but immersive island survival with some obscure storytelling

Rating: 3,9 of 5 - go for it!

  • visuals 10/10
  • character development 8/10
  • story 8/10 (first playthrough)
  • game mechanics 6/10
  • replay value 7/10

Animations in this game are minimal --> I'd suggest to check out some gameplay footage before you buy it

This is a very polished island survival game where you have to gather and mangae resources in order to survive. There is some obscure prophecy which has to be revealed. To do so, you've got to explore the island square by square.

The game is turn based, with a morning and afternoon phase. You can assign your survivors to various activities around the camp, depending on which improvements you've already researched.

There is a character level system, which greatly influences your progress. Also, your characters are susceptible to death by various means (hunger, depression. injury, murder).

The game can be very punishing in the early stages, especially when you follow an inefficient strategy. On the other hand, it becomes a little too easy, once all the research is completed.

Nevertheless, it is quite balanced - and loads of fun to play. As stats, dialogues and events are sort of randomized, the replay value is not too bad, I'm on my second playthrough and still excited.

39/50 - would support the developer team again!

Guten Tag,
