I've never seen developers so responsive to player feedback. The base system is very cool, being able to transfer your entire base and character through different servers is a unique feature that lets you play on your own terms. The base building is probably my favourite in any survival game as it allows complete directional movement of any building piece. Combat is a little janky at times but is definitely serviceable for a survival game. Progression is linear but that's not necessarily a bad thing. With regular updates and some great devs i see this game becoming something great, especially as its already worth playing.

Project Zomboid is that perfect zombie survival game you talk about with your friends. If you're a fan of zombie media, you will love this game - and even if you're not, you will love this game.

It offers a lot of variety through each play-through with the skill system changing how you play every time. You go into the character creation thinking about exactly what you want your character to be. A carpenter who only gets better with each wall placed? Or a desensitised war veteran who can f#ck sh#t up with out panicking? Each character you play will be different and each one will matter, Because if you die, that character is f#cking dead. Everything that character knew is gone. The only thing you can do is start a new character and smash in the head of the reanimated corpse you just played for the last however many hours, and you bet your ass you're gonna die. One bite and its over. You're done.

Pretty much everything you can think of doing in a zombie apocalypse you can do in this game. You need to get into a house? smash the window, but make sure you use a weapon so you don't destroy your hand in the process and THEN make sure you remove the glass shards from the window cause if you don't you're gonna cut yourself up even more. Your clothes are dirty? Chuck them in the washing machine, and then the dryer. But watch out because power turns off after a couple weeks.

There's a lot i could say about this game. But i beg you to try it out yourself. Grab some mates and play the game. It is a fantastic experience and I cant wait to play it again.
