So I'm rewriting this review from what it was before, which was a positive review to a now negative one, this game is swarmed with cheaters for a starter and the issue isnt getting resolved at all, if you dont believe me, what any video of a person playing rust on an official server and they either have a run in with a cheater or see several get banned throughout the video. Hell, i cant even play facepunch servers anymore because you genuinely die to hackers at minimum once a day, and these are the people that actually get banned im talking about, not just people that I think are "suspicious"

The second glaring issue is how the game is now focused around playing in a zerg, there is absolutely no point playing the game on official or half the modded servers unless you have 6+ people playing with you, especially after the recoil update. Everyone is on the same playing field now as recoil is so easy to control so you cant compensate with skill to combat numbers anymore. Every server you play on has half the monuments walled off by a group that is minimum 12 and facepunch play into this dynamic by constantly adding updates that mostly focus on developing how zergs play i.e the tugboat which can host over 15 people inside of it. Nobody asked for this unless they are in a huge group and as someone who plays in a smaller group (4), playing on official which is what i love best, is almost impossible now. You kill a zerg member and they come with 20 people and pummel your base as youre in there helplessly losing the past day of progress. Also most zergs have people from different timezones so you can always just get offlined.

If you still purchase the game after reading this, honestly goodluck and I hope you can find fun in the game like I used to, but now I cant anymore and I dont think I'll be playing the game in the foreseeable future unless there are more trio or small group servers added (there are only 2 trio servers and no servers with any group limit apart from that on official.
