Rain World is not a good "video game." Mostly because it wasn't really crafted to be a video game, in the traditional sense, it's an ecosystem simulation that you just happen to participate in, and the fact that there are technically "goals" and "progression" is more an aspect of the lore that lead the world to the state that it's in.
