Ms. Yuuka "Genocide is just another game" Kazami decides to enter a whole new game in the thrilling field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Truly, Gensokyo will never be the same. I know I will never be.

What do you get when you throw Sonic and Kirby into a blender with Pulseman? You get a funny little electric jester, that's what. From the same dev who brought you both Sonic: Before the Sequel as well as Sonic: After the Sequel, comes a 2D platformer that definitely shows some of it's hedgehog based roots, but has plenty of originality to go around all the same. Finding new abilities in every stage is always exciting, and NGL, I did chuckle a bit seeing the edgy power up for the first time. There's also a much more challenging second run with a completely new protagonist with their own moveset. Recommended for fans of Classic Sonic and 2D platformers alike.

Let's not kid ourselves, you're either here for an easy way to play ROM hacks or to "legally" play Genesis games not on the steam store via this game's workshop. No judgement, it's cool.

I'll be real with you, I started to find the dungeon parts really tedious so I decided to see if you could beat the game (paying off all major debt) exclusively using trading and good negotiation. Spoiler, you absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can and that's amazing. Capitalism, ho indeed.

A classic arcade racer with some crackhead energy (I say this endearingly). Been looking forward to this game since its debut in the SAGE expos and the final product doesn't disappoint. The option to make your own custom decals for your car is just the icing on top.

An excellent pair of 2.5D platformers. The visuals and music exude a sense of wonder and charm that just makes for a cozy and whimsical experience. As for the plots of both games... the less you know going in, the better. Klonoa Phantasy Reverie is a fantastic remake of two classics, and I implore platformer fans both new and old to give these two games a chance.

Full disclosure: played the hell out of this when I was younger, so there might be a bit of nostalgia bias. With that out of the way, you've got your classic LEGO romp, with is always a good time and can make for some good split-screen co-op. Plus its just fun to mess around the overworld (especially swinging around as one of the Spider-Men or Symbiote-based charas or tearing through the skies as a character with flight).

On the surface, some see 2D Minecraft, but it doesn't take very long to see what sets the two apart. More emphasis is placed on combat and loot here, much to its benefit. Not to say there isn't something there for people who want to build and flex their creative muscles, but for those who want to continue to explore more biomes and continually get rewarded with new weapons, tools, treasures, this is the game for you. The feeling of constant progression is intoxicating and can become very quickly addicting. I haven't even mentioned the bosses, which are a spectacle to behold. Also that soundtrack, it's excellent.
