One of the best rogue-likes there is, a turn-based game that has tremendous replayability and is challenging without getting repetitive. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the second installment of the series, for the rng elements and the butchered/uninspired mechanics in the second game make it boring and unfun. The first one is definitely superior to its successor, a must play for everyone and a masterpiece for the rogue-like fans.

P.S. If you are not familiar with the franchise and just witnessed only the hate of DD2, this game is nothing like it fortunately. But if you also played only the first one and wonder how bad the second can be, don't fall in the trap of the cope as many lickers did. This masterpiece belonds in a different genre that the hot garbage that was served many years later and labeled ''DD2'' and cannot even be compared.

Also the crimson court dlc is hot garbage, still better than dd2 though, so imagine how garbage both are
