Don't buy it right now, wait until they fix the performance issues. I'm running an RTX 2060 with an i5 and 15gbs of RAM, all drivers up-to-date, and the game takes literally 10 min to load and then freezes and crashes on the intro cinematic. And no, I'm not playing on max graphics.

Updated my review after they fixed the bot problem. I will change it back to negative if they don't keep the game fixed.

Sony realized their mistake and are not requiring a PSN account anymore. Now I can finally say this is one of the greatest games I've ever played!

Much has been said already about the masterwork that is the game's map design and combat so I'll say no more on that subject. But What needs to be mentioned is the community.

The fact that randoms that you play with will give it there all when it comes to voice acting/role playing just makes the games atmosphere so much more amazing. Randomly hearing someone let out a bloodcurdling SCREAM as they go down and then scream for a medic, only for the medic to sprint over and SCREAM "YOU'RE NOT GONNA DIE ON ME!!!"

The fact that everyone gets so into it makes this game an 11/10 for me

DO NOT BY THIS GAME. Gaijin continually makes changes that make the grind more unbearable than it already is. They then ignore community feedback and then try and gaslight the community by telling us its for our own good. They are ruining their game with their shortsighted greed.

The game I know and love, with a fresh coat of paint. The new UI takes some getting used to, but beyond that I love it. The AI is (somewhat) more competent and as long as you don't expect the world from it (it is still a 2004 game after all) its pretty good! The only gripe I have is the price. I paid $15 for it because I already have the original in my Steam library and $30 is pretty steep. Wait for it to go on sale and you've got a steal!

Huge Paradox fan but I can't recommend this game in it's current state. It just not fun. Ever nation feels the same, there isn't anything to do during peace time, it's way too easy to make too much money, the over usage of mana kills any feeling of strategy, and the entire game is basically: fight war, win, wait for mana counter to refill to get war goals on other country, repeat.

Not fun.

The best DLC for CK2 in years. I'd say it's a must have to make the game feel complete. Right up there with The Old Gods, Charlemagne and Sword of Islam. Adds tons of much needed flavor to paganism and christianity alike. A must have!
