He or She is a Christian who ...

1. ... Is merciful to all. To be just as merciful to others as you want God to be to yourself and not just the people you like, but ALL.

2. ... Does not get angry at an injury. Don't give strong responses or be quick to anger, even if it is small or large inconvenience or trouble. Respond kindly and have patience. Otherwise, give over to God if it seems to be too hard for you to do in the situation and let Him guide you.

3. ... Gives aid to the poor. What do you feel when you read that? Guilt? Indifferent? Compassion? Empathy? But not only material things can be given but also Love, Kindness, Tenderness. It takes very little from you to make a big change for them. Not only the materialistically poor but emotionally poor as well.

4. ... Suffers with the afflicted. Often we just look at a person struggling and we just ed up seeing a problem to be solved by helping. Instead, sit with them first, try to understand their problems and imagine that same issue unto yourself and try to figure something out together rathe than just giving a solution.

5. ... Helps to carry the burdens and sorrows of others. If you see someone struggling or being ridiculed, do you just stand by and watch or do you go to them and help?

6. ... Does not shut their door on the unhappy. Do you lock your doors and shoo away the needy when they come to ask for help? Or do you give them bread and kind words of encouragement.

7. ... Does not insult anyone. Be it criticizing, judging, mocking someone else and not just out loud either. Think of Jesus, when he was insulted, he returned no insult (1 Peter 2:23) and if he responded, he answered gently.

8. ... That serves God day and night. What do you wait for to be able to do each day, and spend your life chasing? Is it God, or is it the things in the world. Allow God to be involved in your life, your finances, your sex life, your pass times.

9. ... That meditates their ways. We are followers of Christ, and if we know him, we can admire him, the more we admire him the more we love him. Are your ways in line with the ways of Christ? And what occupies your mind throughout the day?

10. ... That's poor in the eyes of the world and rich in the eyes of God. Do you live your life to please God or to please the world? Of course we should live for God but the world will say we are fools, and they are right we are Fools for Christ (1 Corinthians 4:10).

11. ... Has a simple and upright soul. Do you feel restless and confused? Or an emptiness you cant pinpoint? For a simple and upright soul will always feel peace, not anxious or having a need to do something, but peace by just being in the moment. Goodness, Love and Truth can be found in these souls

12. ... Conscious is pure. If you feel like something you want to do or did is bad, do you think of it as bad? Do you respond to your conscious when it tells you something is good or bad?

13. ... Places all their trust in Christ. When times are rough, what do you look for to gain peace and hope? Games? Sex? Distractions? Or do you look for God and hope in his good works?

14. ... Turns their backs on ALL the treasures of the world in turn for what God offers.
