This is the most unique rts I have ever played and I don't think much will shake me from that statement.

The visuals are simple but powerful. You can recognize marine just by looking at them, and the damage you inflict on bugs and thier hives is leaves a powerful impression. The amount of accesories you can equip your soldiers with or defense turrets you can get next to them is great! Opens up a lot of options fro replaying levels. This includes the enemies behaviour, turning an otherwise cakewalk into a hard earned victory depending on what mutations the bugs recieve. There are quite a few random missions with varied objectives and also a downright survival mode which is nice.

My personal favourite mission has become the pen-ultimate mission. I haven't seen anything like it in any other rts and I stand by that! Very challenging but very rewarding at the same time.

The DLC-s are a nice addition but they arent necessary for you to have a blast!
