Great game, TERRIBLE PLAYERS. I just started the game, loved the tutorial, started the game, then was on the starting island got shot in the face by someone who could have just said my mic was on. 10 minutes later after a respawn, I start looting an island cause I got to move on, then some jerk sends my ship off for no reason, didn't even loot it cause it had nothing, just to be a jerk and look at me try to get it. Then after another respawn, I try to look at another island for 5 FREAKING MINUTES and someone started shooting my ship for nothing!!!! I give up. it says 3 hours of play but that is just from letting the game run as I had some food. I played only 30-45 minutes (half of which was the tutorial) and was murdered for jack all three times. I'm fine with a hard game but not a game that can't be played for 5 minutes without jack*ss killing you for no reason!!!! It didn't even benefit them! I had nothing to steal! And they didn't even try to rob me! Just kill for nothing. It feels like every inch of ocean had people that wanted to ruin my good time.

Its a fun game. Everyone should play it.

I love this game. It's a fun, sometimes funny, and deeply challenging game. Heartily recommend.

I've played this game off and on for around 2-3 years, leading to having a bit over 200 hours on this game. The reason that I don't play this game very much but come back is because I like the story but the gameplay is more frustrating then any other game I have ever played. If you die you go back way to far because the stupid size of the maps are to freaking long. You will come across monsters that are resistant to everything and take to long to kill, that if you are not far above them in level, can one shot you. And you lose exp on death. If you want to quickly get somewhere, well you can't. It takes you an hour to get to anything. I died on the boss fight with the god of hunger and died and died and died. One time I accidentally went back to town instead of back to checkpoint. It took me two hours to get to this place and there are no way points for two full maps to this spot. And all the enemies came back. SO I'M DONE. I'll probably come back to this in a month and get back to the point I was at with little difficulty like I already did but still. Oh ya, when I say it wasn't difficult to get to this stop, I wasn't. It was just unfun and frustrating because of the long time it took to take care of enemies and walk through the freaking map. This is not a fun game, I do not recommend playing for the gameplay, maybe this is just a thing with the ranger but screw it, I don't think the people that are forced to fight one hit killers up close will do better, and if they do... the you can eat s*it and balance the freaking game. This is not a game that makes you frustrated at losing and keep fighting through it, like a hard challenge that you will beat once you get into the zone and learn everything you need to know to win. This is a game that drags down your enthusiasm and makes you scream in incoherent rage and put your hand through your computer and feel better that its just not here anymore. You don't want to finish because you feel like you aren't being rewarded for the win. It doesn't feel earned. It just sort of happened this time. When you die and try again, the enemies will still be hurt as much as you inflicted, meaning you can just brute force your way through like I was trying to do before I accidentally went back to town, but that isn't earning a win. That is being given a massive crutch because they couldn't be asked to make the fight actually winnable without it. That is a failure dressed up like success. And it is that kind of crap that makes this just wear you down. They don't care to make the game fun, they just want you to keep playing. That sickens me. Don't start playing this game, it won't end no matter how long you play and isn't worth your time. I look back at the 200 plus hours of this game I have played and like that I could have learned the piano or guitar or sax or something with that time. Do not bother

Its a nice dungeon crawler. Gridey but fun with a few quirky moments.
