I have had a of fun with this game and I don't normally review a game till I beat it but in recent events of what happened I'm going do it anyways. It has a lot of Japaneses urban legends or folk lore in this game such as The Slit-Mouthed Woman and so on. With all that I personally don't feel like its a horror game and more like diving into an action game with these elements. There's a lot of funny moments in this game such as one spirit couldn't pass on because he couldn't wipe his ass after taken a dump and didn't have any toilet paper and have to find some for him and another one stuck because he was waiting so long to use the bathroom. The story so far is amazing to me and great voice acting

Now to the recent events I was one of the damn fools that thought it was great that Microsoft got Bethesda... in my mind I thought it would help boost the money and help the studios come out with even more stuff for us fans. Years have I been waiting for the next Evil Within game. But I was damn wrong Microsoft turned out to be a nightmare. I fu*king hate the console wars causing so many of us gamers to miss out on games let it be exclusive the xbox or playstation are trying to get before the other one and then shutting down the studios of the lesser games, time exclusives or what ever else that it might be. I'm sorry to all the workers who lost their jobs. RIP Tango Gameworks your deserved hell lot better than that.

It worked well for me yesterday and what I played of it was fun. The story was little interesting but no where near as good as Dead Space and the combat was fun.

Today the game will not even load and just keeps freezing up so it needs to be fix and I doubt it will now. Really annoyed

This game was amazing to play as a fan of Lovecraft. Great story and a great voice acting all together. It was also fun to read the notes of how people would fall into madness and what they seen.

I can see some people will not like the fact that there's a lot of running around all over and yes in the same places. The map does not hold your hand like other games do. You need to read the street names and find out where to and if you don't like that then there's always online walkthroughs.

The only flaw for me that there is.. is probably that the story DLC should have been in the base game but instead it has a somewhat expensive price tag for just bit more content. Also to me it suffers little what Call of Cthulhu with what I felt like a rush ending or endings.

Either way I really enjoyed the game and very much looking forward to the 2ed one. Its a pity to see a lot of Steam players giving this game mixed review

You know I grew up with Blizzard games with World of Warcraft, Diablo and some Starcraft and absolutely loved this company to death.. but these past years they have become horrible like most of the other gaming companies with their greed and lies. Yes, I still play their games. Mostly WoW and Diablo, but it hurts to know the Blizzard is not on the fandom or customer's side anymore. For so many years I held them on a pedestal above all the others.

Now with Overwatch, or I guess they wanting to call this Overwatch 2, there are many things you can't earn in the game without spending real money but the BIGGEST problem and why I can not recommend this game is because of the lies they told about what Overwatch 2 was going to have. I was so hyped about all the PvE aspects they said they were going to have to only cancel it and brush it off with "We are sorry" There are many other things they have handled badly but its depressing to think about what they have become.

I originally played through both The Evil Within Games on consoles and got to enjoy the stories and fears again on Steam since I mostly play pc now. If your a fan of Resident Evil, Horror, good combat and madness then you should get this game. I'll Be here waiting for number 3 to hopefully come around soon.


Edit: So Today I found out Microsoft close down Tango Gameworks. I am more upset about this than I thought I would be. Very stupid decision and idiotic move. They made amazing games like Evil within and Ghost Wire. I guess I will not be waiting around for number 3 to come

The new update had some terrible changes lol can't even upload my old save now and they have blocked mods so CAW is no where near as fun. So good job again 2k at failing once again.. meh

You know I was really looking forward to going over to visit my father and play the co-op games they have in this game. This game does not support split-screen or couch co-op. So yea really was let down and they don't fix their old games in hope you buy their new crap-made games like I was trying play black ops 3 zombies and wont even load... Activision makes Ubisoft look good at times :S Today I lost all respect for Activision I had left in them... god I hate that Blizzard is with this company of trash... OOOh also they disable Game Share I have even less respect for games that do this

The game was fun, great voice acting and of course the story was great. I still feel like Lust for Darkness was little better in my opinion. The only problems I had was that a lot of times it would crash in a videos moment making me miss some of the story :/ Some times multiple ending work on games but I feel like this one should have had only one. I wanted to know what was the cannon way it ended since I played from the first game.

I enjoyed this game very much so. The puzzles are challenging some times and the story, voice acting was phenomenal. Always be careful with people you never know whats going on in their head. The mind can be very dangerous place with regret, depression and or darkness.

I had fun with this one.. hope they add more to it or maybe a sequel would be nice. Love the dark theme. P.s the Mimic seems to like the old ladies xD he mostly appears with me during embalming process with them with a big smile. Who am I to judge
