I spent years of avoided spoilers just for this moment... and I could not be more glad I did.

Seriously though it was enjoyable enough to play through the whole thing and not get bored but some parts were really tedious and the story is unclear. The tutorials are also done horribly, as there are barely any. I usually like having less tutorials but this game is so terrible at teaching you actually important things and sometimes not at all.

The best school shooter preparation simulator on the market today.

Some things never change, and thankfully voice chat is one of them. As a white guy I am not sure if I have ever been called the N word more times at once in my entire life than playing a cod match.

The campaign is cool and I actually liked the crafting missions. The overall story is serviceable at best but the moment to moment gameplay is fun.

Multiplayer would be much better with more maps and no SBMM but its good aside from that.

And of course the game is corporatized with battle passes and ♥♥♥♥ which sadly sucks a lot of the soul out of the game. I think if the battle pass didn't exist the game would automatically feel 20x better to play and less like a waste of time.

Default price is high but if you can get this on a sale I would say it is worth it. Just don't buy the battle pass.

I would rather buy Battlefield V on Steam than this. I don't think anything more needs to be said.

But being serious this game has way too many bugs, don't make the same mistake I did of buying it at full asking price. Just because I fell for the hype doesn't mean you have to aswell. Until the game gets to an actually playable state, do not buy it, you will not get your money's worth.

first thing I would like to mention, if you want to buy this game, get it on sale. Do not pay the full pricetag, its not worth it.

First of all I enjoyed the game more than I thought I would. The new arenas, mechanics, and surprisingly voice acting are not that bad, however there is one thing holding this game back, and that is snap/smooth turning. There is no way to turn in this game besides physically doing it yourself, which is not exactly ideal for a fast-paced game like this. Excluding that I believe this was a genuinely enjoyable experience. Seeing some of the levels, weapons, and demons brought to full scale is really cool, along with the never before seen areas.

luckily if you do not want to play with wand controllers, there is an option to be able to play with a gamepad, which works very well.

On the topic of comfort, there is practically no kind of comfort mode, besides only teleporting and not using smooth locomotion, but even then the boost pads still work normally. I personally don't get motion sick, but for the people that do, I would strongly suggest not to play this game, I am certain you would throw up rather quickly.

Fighting demons works very nicely, and is pretty much just how you remember it on flatscreen, it is kind of strange though that you get a grenade launcher that shoots BFG rounds... yeah, think about that one. The one downside to playing with wand controllers while fighting demons is that it is very easy (atleast on the vive) to accidentally fire your grenade launcher amidst all the chaos and fast movements, so it can get annoying trying to not do that. There is a dash ability that is a welcome addition, but it is very easy to use by accident, which led to some unfortunate deaths when I was not being careful near high ledges.

Ok that is enough rambling, so should you get this game? Well it is really a personal choice.
Do you hate fast paced action?
Are you a princess that will throw up if you see gore?
Are you horrible at managing multiple things?
Do you have poor reaction times?
Are you new to VR and get motion sick?

If you answered yes to any of this then I would advise against this game, but if you said no to everything, its worth looking into buying it. I do highly suggest though that if you care about story, play doom 2016 or watch a walkthrough. You will understand and appreciate this game more.

Its certainly not a perfect game and I did run into a few bugs, but I beleive it is worth a pickup when its on sale.

Garry's Mod is a fun experience, and it never gets boring. The workshop has many great addons, full with maps, weapons, enemies, vehicles, you name it. Co-op only adds to the experience. You can build almost anything you want, from a raft to a rocket. For the amount of content in this, the price is really good. Grab some friends and have fun!


(P.S. the "VRmod" is really fun you should try it)
