Answer : It have a lots of potential but the game itself is very on early stage meaning there is a lot of works need to do. This game is one man developer. So its have very slow update unlike any other game and so dont expect it to be an AAA title game.

And this game is not your typical game like H1Z1, DayZ, 7 Days to Die. Its very different. The trailer is way outdated so dont watch it for its current gameplay.

2018 : the game release, very barebone, grinding to the maximum and feels burn out rather quickly. A lot of player left the game, understandable. Barely any content at this point to makes player stay. Not very fun to play in long term. Maybe for a solid 20-50 hour.

2019 : the game has been quiet for a few month because of the backlash of player due to the over hype, and now the hype has died the game has improve and steadily has update from time to time. Admin back on track and return to continue the update. The game from 50 player daily to 1000 player. This is a good sign for a free to play game, over 1k player is a good amount. And tons of update to fix and balance the game which makes the game from boring to interesting.

2020 : a lot of major update is coming this year, which will improve the game a lot, like real a lot. Open world update is here and lvl 50 update incoming which including new weapon, new gears, new zombies, new boss and new areas. Also tons of new cosmetic incoming too. its fun to play right now, with the new update, double the fun

2021 and beyond: by the time we have lvl 50 update, Im pretty sure this game will gain popularity again because its has become very fun to play, community is nice(for now) and very helping, playing stranger is good, rarely meet toxic player. and Im sure there will be overhaul to the map, building and asset later on as the game gain more player as it very basic at this moment.
