"Host not responding" every 5th minute. Message given to everyone i play with, regardless of the host, and we're all within 2 meters of each other IRL.

An actual in-depth and immersive medieval game. Most negative reviews just gotta wake up and realize the world doesn't revolve around them. You adapt to the game and it's vision, it shouldn't adapt to what you want.

If you like quick, unrealistic, easy and straight forward stuff, this isn't for you. Simple as that.

No you cannot stack 15 logs, 30 wood and 60 berries in your inventory - because that's not immersive.
No you cannot equip 4 different weapons or go around with 200 arrows in your inventory - because it's not immersive.
No you cannot just sprint like Usain Bolt, because you'll run out of energy... Unless you eat... Because that's immersive.
You're not a godly knight able to slay foes easily, you gotta develop skills and become better - because that's immersive.

The only flaws/cons i've found so far is brainfarts from devs side, and i'm sure it'll be fixed. Stuff like food to villagers that has no real meaning besides making them want to follow you and buff them (they don't die of starvation), and their food meter depletes incredibly fast. It's annoying, but hardly a dealbreaker.

The amount of bandits - it's medieval times, if you weren't a part of a village or city you'd usually be a bandit or a wanderer - this game has both of them but people suck at fighting so they'll go from in-game warrior to keyboard warrior instead.

It's a steep learning curve and it's a time consuming effort to get anywhere in this game. But that's the point. It's tough, it's rough, it's not straight forward and it takes effort. Finally a game that doesn't has skip time x10 and auto collect stuff.

Passion > profit.

The big companies should take notes.

Decent game. Standard bugs that you recognize from Skyrim, so no game breaking - atleast not to me.

HOWEVER: It's 2023 and for some reason we still CANNOT play on 5120x1440. It's 2023 ffs.
Lowkey ruins the game after a few hours of being tolerant. I have black bars on both side of my screen, and difficulties in the HUD due to the scale, so my mouse has to be somewhere seemingly random for me to be able to click the right part of my ship etc.

Note: All modless and all non configurated, i'm all "natural" so there's no 3rd party interfering and causing these issues.

It is actually a quite good game. I have very few bad things to say about the game, especially after the 1.0 release. So it kind of hurts having to put in a bad review because of something this "simple".

However the main thing i have to mention is almost gamebreaking to me. It's not in itself gamebreaking, but over time it becomes borderline horrible to deal with.

Lag. I have lag and stutters out of this world every now and then and it does not fix itself.
I'm talking graphic stutters and not internet connection here.

My FPS will drop to single digits, for no apparent reason.
Sometimes after i've used waygates - sometimes in my base (quite big so i'd understand the initial drop until rendering is complete, same goes for waygates) sometimes mid-combat, sometimes after a 5 min AFK. There's no specific situation besides alt-tabbing in and out of the game that'll trigger it - but it will occur pretty often.

I'm runnin' a high end PC, so i know it's not a spec problem - this wasn't a problem before 1.0 neither, and graphic settings are unchanged but my PC has been replaced with a bigger beast.

The only fix i've found, besides playing on laptop graphic settings, is to close the entire game and boot it back up. - lowkey gamebreaking when it has to be done 4-5 times an hour.

Massive concept, great idea and terrific thoughts. But it's an EA game, and as all EA games, it has bug, glitches, exploits and so on. This is something EVERYONE should keep in their mind, because it's 2 days old, so it's bound to have bugs and glitches. Give the devs a break and calm your freaking tits before going apesh!t on them. Perhaps make your own game or atleast read up on what it takes to make a game this size, before cranking up that b!tchwheel. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ay, i love the concept, it just needs more time and support.

This game started out great. And i mean way back in the day, despite all the EA bugs.
But now the game has become a game that's only playable for the Elite.
Got a full time job? A family? A life outside ARK's world in general? No chance.
People who play this 24/7 365 will sit on the top and they will stay there forever, because this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time consuming, you've got 0 chance to make a decent living in it, unless you really really dedicate yourself to it, meaning family out the window, baby gotta starve, cause you've got no time to leave the PC.
It's full of griefers, exploiters, chinese gang bangs etc etc.

Oh and my favourite part;
The developers doesnt give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about you or your issue, and will, no matter your issue, reply with a standard formal email or message, that they cannot help you because they're too busy etc etc. I've played it for 1000 hours, i've been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by the community and the developers.
