I've picked "No" but actually that is more like 40/60 or 30/70 for me for yes/no, it was kinda tough decision.

Well, game is obviously better than first one in every aspect. It is pretty cool if you want to have a good time casually chilling like watching a decent tv series.

Though, for me as an old space sim fan who pays attention HOW particluar things are done, there are many drawbacks:

1 - MAJOR issue is completely immersion-ruining perks, features, rewards and some namings. I mean for example i got EMP missiles with a bonus feature that can cast a rocket that does not consume ammo when your guns make a critical hit. Such stuff is suitable for DOTA, but never a space sim game. Game is FULL of that. There is simply no meause how 'realism' term can be stretched here, game is just completely out of touch. I understand when player needs to stretch some owl onto a globe to imagine for himself how something works, but in this game this is just not possible. First i wanted to say that i would buy this game for my possible kid but not for me personally, but now i even doubt that this is a good idea because there is no logics and fantasy world buildup that could develop a legit imagination for a child.

2 - Issue of second priority for me is level-based debelopment, when environment and stuff you get depends of player level. Though, it is a part of first issue too, but also a bit more than that.

3 - And the third is the too obvious artificial feeling of stuff that is generated, some environment feels really scripted.

If you can ignore all of that, you will have an awesome time like watching really engaging TV series. I cant, these things really distract me, thought i'll complete the game anyways.

Instead of fixing core issues like:

- OP M7Ms achieving which plus some torpedo factories is now basically an end-point of the game and a "god mode" eradication of stuff (that, also an issue, artifically respawns) that leads to imminent loss of player's interest. Also, NPC M7Ms and M8s are also too OP, if you dont enjoy imbalanced rocket spam yourself, these things cannot be countered.
- Removing TC/AP bonus package trader/station management support (forcing you to use NPC pilot instead which i dont want because i prefer Xenon ropleplay keeping things as automated as possible)
- Broken economics (docks 99% of time have 0 of everything, also production chains are too simple and outdated for today - why not to add quantum tubes for shield production for example as it is said in their description, and why warheads are not used in missile production lol?)
- Non-capturable sectors, universe is static
- Basically non-existent early game (what was arguably the best part of X-T, X2 and X3R where you feel self small and theres a big space around to explore and achieve stuff, which is now replaced with an immersion-ruining feeling where everything is about player service and free valuable gifts
- Broken missions - rewards too easy farming, too artificial and stupid mission objectives spawn
- Poor Xenon infrastructure and stupid respawns
- Lack of development progress in Artificial Life aspect
- Balancing of the ships (creating appealing perseus-copypaste kogarasu maru instead of balancing existing ships to try to make all of them equally interesting)

.. devs decided to push dumb X4 trends of free stuff giving you HQ (some ugly boron thing while also removing cool TC/AP HQs from the game) just for launching a game, weird obsession with NPC people way of managing commercial stuff forcing you to use their station manager NPC instead of AI commands, and deliver new stupidities like so-called "discoverers guild" that can for example spawn a whole freaking asteroid out of nowhere for you, or immediately transfer reward wares like if they have 25km transporter and have unrestricted access to your ship, or new sector discovery/capture system that could in theory be great if done right but in fact is completely pre-scripted and feels artificial af, or cargo stealer device that is straight legitimate cheating by save-load abuse.
Only good thing is new reputation system, though it needs some tweaking.

At the start game actually delivers good atmosphere, but when you start hitting common stuff you understand that things only get worse.

I am absolutely convinced that X3 Reunion is best game of the series and after it devs took a wrong way in the most of the game aspects, arcadifying the game more and more instead of developing immersion.

X3FL could make X3 great again and close all the gestalts, but for me appeared to be a big disappointment.

Best and last good X-Series game after which developers turned to wrong direction arcadifying game more and more giving free stuff to player what kills all the atmosphere and reason i got hooked by this series in my childhood

(+) Really amazing and stunning graphics which works pretty well on old systems like my FX6300 with HD6850 on max settings.
Thats all.

(-) Game becomes boring after few days and you will throw it for sure. Gameplay is repetitive. You can reach main objective in first day of playtime, and later you just have to do it again and again just with slightly different circumstances.

(-) Storyline of base version is nice but extremely short. No idea what happens in DLC expansion, but these guys wont get my money any more. Maybe to make it arguable they should put expansion storyline in base game, but now this is a joke to pay such money for almost nothing but graphics.

These guys shall think about using sources of this game to make space-PUBG or something other based on multiplayer, this will be worth much more. Loot system and space systems structure fits it pretty well.
