Recently obtained 1000 hours on ARK in the few months that I've owned it and I'm still addicted to it!
Despite the bugs such as glitching through the map when you die (has yet to happen to me) and then not being able to find your body, ARK is a very fun game, especially with other players and mods! I recommend the Annunaki Genesis Mod for a variation of dinosaurs, which add a more challenging experience to the game.

Whilst you have to do a lot of grinding, especially if you're a solo player, die lots of times and potemtially lose stuff due to bugs (hasn't happened for me) - just remember that this game is in it's alpha stage and they'll stomp out these bugs and fix the optimization part in time... so sit back, and grind that stone with your Doedicrus! :p

I have to say that ARK is the best game I have purchased in a while, have had so much fun playing with friends despite the many days of grinding, taming, running for my life and dying but 1000 hours later I still love and enjoy playing the game! So, if you like survival games then give Ark a try!
