I smile up at your lovely face.
Its beautiful light illuminates this place.
I bask in your pale glow.
Your nightly light, all I truly know.

The darkness blankets the city in sheets,
But by your light I roam these streets.
So long as I walk with you
I know you'll guide me safely through.

I smile, guided by your nightly light,
I know nothing shall go wrong tonight.
I hear the wolves offer you their cry.
Another night gone unawry.

I see your light begin to fade.
Bending to the will you've made.
I smile as I turn to you,
But truth be told I'm feeling blue.

Everyday I miss you so.
I wait all night and watch you go.
