One of the best action games I have ever played, with a tons of freedom with combinations of weapons, guns and style. The story mode will last you around 10 hours, with plenty of replayability with the unlocked moves and higher difficulties, as well as the Bloody Palace mode, which is a totally different level of challenging all on it's own.

I understand that the game wouldn't work with the tone it was aiming for, if it was possible to kill the alien, but the game is a bit too unforgiving at times. Leads to a less than stellar gaming experience.

A great cyberpunk, open-ended action game that lets you play it however you want. What's not to love?

40 Hours in and I don't think I've ever touched anything but the zombies. The quintessential zombies experience for the series.

Early Access Review
The game could have interesting aspects underneath, but it feels like surviving for the sake of surviving, unlike something like Don't Starve, where there are goals for the player to work towards. The game might be better with friends, but none of my friends are interested in this kind of game, let alone one that seems trapped in Early Access Hell.

I would say pass on this one if you are looking for a compelling experience.

My hours are low, but I've played this game on the PS4 as well, and I think it's a great evolution of the older games.

The focus on verticality and the decent sized arsenal is a great stepping stone for the franchise, as I have yet to play Doom Eternal, as of writing this, but it is next for me to play when I finish my ultra-violence run of the game.

A great step up for the older games, while seeming pretty tame from what I've seen of Eternal, Doom 4 is a welcome change in the FPS Genre that it helped create.

A masterclass in Survival Horror Action that has only been rivaled by Resident Evil 4.

I've been with this game for two years now, since around the tail end of White Noise.

I think as a competitive shooter, this game is one of the best:
The gun play is amazing, the ops are fun to use, and most of the maps are balanced.

The downsides aren't to be ignored though:
Constant dropping from matches for no reason, some ops that are just copy and pastes of other characters equipment wise and the grind for new ops (if you bought the starter edition) is really too large to make unlocking of new characters a constant progression, and more of a grueling grind.

I think all in all this game is good, despite it's flaws. Could still use a lot of work, but Ubisoft is almost constantly working to keep this game as one of the greatest.

Went in expecting a bad horror game, came out with a page full of notes about morse code and translating coordinates. A game with unique gameplay for today's horror market. Short and sweet, which fits the style of the game's story.
