I normally don't leave Steam reviews, but this game deserves it. One of the best horror games I've played; but not just horror games, one of the best games I've played. The story, twists, and pacing make for an amazing experience, and the ending is worth the wait. I would definitely recommend.

I'm about 3 hours in and it's amazing so far. People said I would finish it in 3 hours, I've only just begun. There is so much to explore and do, and the new setting is nice. I still have yet to finish it and finally decide but so far it's worth it.

I bought No Man's Sky when it came out. I started the game and spawned on a planet. I gathered materials and looked at the things around me, it was pretty cool doing this, looking at plants and animals and exploring this new experience.

I finally got in my ship and blasted off into space, there were many planets I could go to, this was amazing. I went to many planets and explored, learning new words and scanning life. But after about 8 hours of this, I realized how repetitive it was. I would go on a planet that looked similar to the other planets I had been too, scan animals that weren't too different, and gather the same resources that were on every planet I had been too.

Right then and there I wanted to stop and play another game. I mean, for a game with 18 Quintilian planets, you would think there would be some variety but not that I'd seen. But I told myself to keep pushing, maybe I would find an amazing planet someday, and maybe the center of the galaxy help an amazing treasure or some new lore or something. So I kept going, doing the same activities over and over until finally, I came to the center. This is what I had been waiting for, the reason to keep going. This was it, the secrets of the Atlas finally revealed, or maybe I would receive amazing treasures? Who knows, but I was about to find out.

Now there was an interview with IGN a while back and someone was asking about the center. And one guy joked about what if it was just a big middle finger when you got there, of course Sean laughed this off with them. But that is basically what they gave us. When you go there, you don't learn anything, you don't receive anything, you know what you get? A "CINEMATIC" CAMERA ANGLE PULLING BACK SHOWING TONS OF STARS, AND THEN THE SCREEN GOES BLACK AND YOU RESPAWN WITH NOTHING. You start the game over in "another galaxy" which I'm pretty sure is just the same one but renamed. That was it, I had enough, I was done with the game. I was so sad, I got 30 hours out of a 60 DOLLAR GAME. And I can't even refund it because it's over the limit.

And that's not even the end. No, no, no. They lied. They lied about features that were going to be in the game. Sand planets? Nope. Giant creatures? Nope. Working portals? Nope. Giant space battles? Nope. And one of the biggest offenders that they said would be in the game... Multiplayer...? N.O.P.E. This is ridiculous, I can't believe I was essentially scammed for a $60 game, when there are so many others I could have bought.
